I have found this wonderful command to be a godsend. Especially on /test. I have suggested using /ignore as an option to others before, and some may or may not have used it. Many people seem to think using /ignore is a way to punish the offending/annoying/disruptive player. I see /ignore as a way to proctect myself. I cannot control, and don't want to, another player. I can only control myself and my characters. /ignore allows me to play uninterupted by unwanted chat and/or comments. I do not see a reason to announce to anyone I am /ignore(ing) them. To me it is like changing the channel on the radio instead of listening to a station I do not want to hear... and on occasion I have left channels completely. Occasionally this has been awkward missing out on one part of a "conversation", but usually it makes for a more entertaining game for me.We cannot control who listens or speaks in /test, /ooc, /shout, etc...or what they say, but I can choose not to listen to unwanted, inane, annoying, offensive, etc... comments/speech/people.<div></div>
