So this actually started somewhere in the TU22 series, but I forgot when. When I'm playing EQ2 -- and only when I'm playing EQ2 -- the game and my entire system will occasinoally come to an unannounced full freeze, where neither keyboard nor mouse will respond and I have to hit the actual power button. This comes without announcement -- whether I'm laggy or running cleanly makes no difference whatsoever -- and intermittently. One day I could be fine doing a 5 hour dungeon crawl; the next, I crash 3 times in an hour just trying to do solo writs in the Bonemire. Or running through North Freeport. Or standing at a mailbox in the Commonlands. Or in Sanctum. Or wherever. It's not happening so often that playing has become impossible, but it must have happened about a dozen times now, over the last several weeks, and that's certainly enough to drive me batty. Plus, it can't be good for the system. So I'm wondering -- has anyone else experienced this, or a similar problem? And any suggestions? I haven't changed my video (nVidia 6800 GT) or sound card (SB Audigy 4) drivers since either late February or early March, and the problem started in April.
