View Full Version : T7 Axes. A design error, and a broken Achievement.

With KoS, Crusaders received as one of their Achievement lines, a relatively nice STR based one, which required the use of an axe for its active skills.I was rather looking forward to this line, as it had a lot to offer a Shadowknight, with attack speed boosts and most importantly a hate generation buff near the end.But I couldn't find an axe.  None of the quests I could find were giving them.Then I finally found a quest which gave one, and it was Berserker, Guardian only.  My bad luck, I thought.I took a trip down to the West Freeport Weaponsmith today.  It was only supposed to be a trip to sell off, but when I opened his buy sell interface, I noticed something very strange:He was selling a large number of Adamantine weapons... And every single axe was being shown to me in red.I scrolled down the list.  Every axe was restriced to either Scout, Berserker, Guardian (The one handers), or Berseker, Guardian (The two handers).Not a single one of the NPC crafted axes was usable by a Crusader.  The only conclusion I can draw from this is that Crusaders have been removed as axe users with the advent of KoS.I believe there must have been an oversight here.   I have no problem with either not being able to use axes or having an achievement skill line based on them - but having both cannot have been intended, as it essentially negates an achievement skill.All I'm really asking is that the activateable skill of the Crusader Str achievement line be rendered usable.  Whether this is from switching the weapon type requirement or removing the restrictions on Crusader axe use, I'm relatively indifferent.Oh... And when this is fixed, can we  call it a Shadowknight fix in the notes?  The last Crusader achievement fix was called a Paladin fix, and us Shadowknights started to feel a bit left out.<div></div>

<div></div><div>Did you check to see if they were equipable by pally/SK? There have been some display bugs floating around where stuff displays red in a merchant window/guild bank/ etc but once in your inventory is fine.  Also new items sometimes get put in with *no* equipable info (so its red to everyone).</div><div> </div><div>Just a thought</div>

The NPC sold axes are explicitly Scout and Zerker/Guard only (The classes listed in examine)I'm told that some of the actual player crafted and some of the drops are more permissive, but I've definitely run into a quest reward axe which was zerker/guard only, and I'm assuming the reason is the same reason that the NPC ones are restricted as such.<div></div>
