Well, this is certainly one we've all leapt into happily, hehe. The XP situation is interesting. Toons over 50 are getting 1.1% per turn in (max 20 at a time). Toons in their 40s were getting 2.2%. My 21 Fury got 3.3% and hit 22 pretty quickly, and toons under 20 were apparently getting 4.5%. For 20 turn-ins in 20 minutes... well, my 56 assassin just got more XP in a half-hour than sue usually gets from a decent 3-hr dungeon crawl. And it doesn't take vitality. It's fun, though. But on a small server (ie, Test) the sky essences are a huge, annoying bottleneck because they're Lore. Everyone can jump to a station and craft 20 whatever in 20 minutes, but the essences are a random body drop and a little ill luck makes a long wait. I wouldn't change it, though -- especially since the server mergers, I think the majority of servers will have plenty of people out adventuring!<div></div>
<div></div> I also assume once the spires are built, the XP run of the crafting component will be over with. I do think the XP if probably a little high for the amount of work involved, but in theory it's only a temporary thing.
<div></div><p>Oh.. and no spire in Sinking Sands for those of us now residing in MajDul? <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> One of those would be nice if you could swing it!</p><p> </p>

I just did a hand-in and a few of the crafting quests. The xp was very nice, although it did occur to me that it was odd to be getting Adventure xp from crafting. I was getting 3% a time at 26th. I would guess that even at 1% a time, there would be hordes of people doing this 24/7. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.I do think the balance between the adventure and crafting quest is a bit off, though. A crafter can stand at the site and repeat the quest indefinitely, but an adventurer not only has to hunt for random drops, but has to hunt near a spire, or waste a lot of time running back and forth. Adventurers in dungeons or zones without spires will have the galling experience of having to leave many sky essences to rot because they are Lore and it will be impractical to run to a spire and do a hand in every time one drops.I would like to see the Lore tag removed from the Essences. No Trade is fine, but No Trade and Lore is too harsh. Stackable would be even better but I imagine that might be problematic in a quest. If the Essences have to remain Lore, I'd personally rather they only dropped in zones with a spire, because having to leave them behind when hunting too far away would be even more annoying than not seeing them drop at all.

You can make items 20 times and then you must break. I've counted 10 times for the adventuring one.

(This needs to be fixed obvioulsy)
<div></div>Also, essences are giving double quest credit... once at looting, once at turn in. Need to fix that too.
<div>Finally, crude quest items work for the spires... I would think you'ld want atleast standard quality items.. not sure I want to use a spire made out of crude parts!</div>

Well. Dragons, eh?Test is going to have a problem with the non-recycling of raiders. I think it's a brilliant idea for Live, seeing as how only 24 people can *ever* have each title, and on on, but on Test we grouped up to raid the EL spire dragon (the second) and found that 8 of our members had to go elsewhere. We eventually reformed but took our 20 failures and called it a night. My only problem with the dragon in EL is how it targets. 60 Assassin in the 2nd group... and when the main taink goes down, suddenly it comes <b>straight </b>for me? Without me having used more than three CAs, I might add, and all of those being arts that wouldn't turn a mob off of a tank ten levels my junior. And it happened more than once.So far soo good, though... when we find enough people who haven't killed another one, I'm sure we'll have another go. *cracks knuckles* I want me that loot and title.<div></div>

Just don't think we have enough high lvl characters left to finish what's left <shrug>main thing i was wondering is,.. Is it required to actually finish all sights, and slay the dragons for the server to actually gain access to KoS,.. or are we actually just creating a spot portal from that location to KoS..for some reason I have this image in my head of 5 or 6 locations on norrath being energy conduits to a main area in KoS.. much like the nexus on luclin. and your basically being converted in to energy and riding the waves between the points. If more then 1 or 2 of the points get lost, then the energy de-stabilizes and transportation would not be possible.. sorry.. im probably thinking too much again..<div></div>
