I haven't played on the test server for months. So, I thought I would try out the new Island setup. Here are a couple of first thoughts/comments.1 - Laggggggg...... I don't know why, but I am seeing a lot of character related lag. When I enter any area where there is a gathering of players / npc's, I get real solid blocks of no-updates, lasting 3-4 seconds.2 - Player progression. a - the new quest series makes sense from a storyline point of view, but... b - the combat level jumps way too quickly.I am trying to approach this as if I had never played before, reading all the instructions, etc.First off, I miss the boat ride. It handled the introductions to the user interface cleanly. Now, most of it felt rushed. Run to this person, read a series of messages, run to the next person. The only challenge in part one is finding the targets, like the banker, whose locations I already knew, but a first time player would not.The first combat quest is to kill 3 level ones. Finishing that quest leaves you at level 2, having fought three none agro mobs. Not much in the way of combat training. So, on to the second combat quest - tainted forest. What do I confront! Dual linked level yellow-vv mobs. At level two I achieved my first death! That seems a bit of a sharp learning curve to me...LinolilI will keep adding comments to this message/thread as I come to them.- attunable items; I looted one from a chest at level 2, without having received prior instructions on attuning stuff. If I remember, that came with doing the cleanup the workshop quest on the old island.- quest delivery; When you are given a quest, the acceptance block pops up, with a summary of the quest, before the NPC assigning the quest actually delivers the assignment. Thus, you read the summary, select accepts, then the NPC tells you about the task and asks you if you would do it! Just a bit out of order.- doubled text; When another player hails an NPC, I see two lines of "Hail ...." above their heads.- Joining the Forward Ranks quest; the cleric wants you to pull mobs back to her. However, if you attack a mob, you fall into automatic facing/combat mode, making running/turning/anything very hard to do.- Return to Murrar Shar upon login; Everytime I log off and log back in, I have a glowing trail that leads me back to Murrar Shar. He simply says... get back to work.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PS - I really liked the fact that I was given the option of selecting a UID setup from one of my existing characters.... Nicely done.

Message Edited by Linolil on 01-22-200601:48 PM

Message Edited by Linolil on 01-22-200601:55 PM

Message Edited by Linolil on 01-22-200602:33 PM

Message Edited by Linolil on 01-22-200602:37 PM

Message Edited by Linolil on 01-22-200603:01 PM

- doubled text; When another player hails an NPC, I see two lines of "Hail ...." above their heads.pretty much goes the same for the bells as well, i think somewhere along the way they have become a single click instead of double clicking, which is why we see double screens.
