/beta add users can't log into Test

<div></div><div></div><div>Not sure if this is coincidence or not, but both my main toon, Romy, and my son's toon, Sphinx, cannot log into Test. </div><div> </div><div>When logging into Test from chracter select, they both get "Logging into zone server", followed by "Receiving zone info", at which point the Receiving zone info progress bar just sits there for 10 seconds or so on a mostly black screen, and then they are taken back to character select. </div><div> </div><div>If I try to log in again with one of those two toons once taken back to character select, they get "Zone is temporarily unavailable. Please try again in a few minutes."  If I wait a few, I can retry and get the same black screen at Receiving zone info (same as above), which gives the impression perhaps that either the client is forcing some sort of retry delay, or perhaps I'm actually somehow crashing the zone.</div><div> </div><div>Both are in different zones (one is MajDul, other is Sinking Sands), and all other toons on the accounts can log in fine.  The only thing common that I can think of between the two toons is that they both were accepted into Beta and did a /beta add the night before.</div><div> </div><div>That'll teach me to volunteer to test...</div><p><span class="time_text"></span> </p><p>Message Edited by Ce on <span class="date_text">01-20-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:36 AM</span></p>

 both majdul and ss appear to be linked on the same server,.. and if it is acting anything like it was last night,.. the server was going up and down. I got kicked to cs 3 times, the last time it happened, i couldn't log back in. this was about 11:56 pm est. <I> was blaming it on lucky, but if he wasn't there when you tried to log on.. originaly when i tried to get on trin yesterday afternoon at about oh... 4ish i couldn't log her on either started a new character, and played thru to lvl 6, then did a /camp trindelle.<div></div>

<div></div><div>I was able to log Raz in, so I dont think it is the /beta (or at least not exclusively).  Some people were talking about zone issues with Majdul and SS last night, so that may have more to do with it.</div>

<div></div><p>Update:  I can crash MajDul or SS on demand (yes, sorry that was me last night killing them without realizing it). </p><p>Please fix my toons or I will have to hold the two zones for ransom! :smileywink:</p>

<div>Day 4 and we still cannot log in.  CS told me to delete my UI settings and do a full rescan, then closed my ticket on Thursday.  Didn't work. </div><div> </div><div>Reopened another ticket on Friday, still "Waiting for CSR".</div>

Completely random idea Romy.  Try creating characters with the same name on live, log them out in the same zone if possible.  Use that UI file, change the server name to test and copy it to your folder. Like I said, utterly random.  No real logic idea.....but it is something I would try.<div></div>

<div></div>I have a developer who is looking into this for me, and it is apparently turning out to be a coding issue rather than a corruption issue with Romy or my client.  Hopeful a new patch in the next little bit will finally free her! :smileyhappy:
