I play in First Person almost exclusively and there are some things that would make it a lot nicer game experience.

One, there needs to be a way to turn off the graphic results of my own spells and HO’s. I really mean all the way off. In first person, the lightshow is right in your face and is just too intensely bright for me. I already have particle effects at absolute minimum, with Max Spell Results at zero. I even move the Maximum Particle Size slider all the way down so that I can’t even see sparklies on the ground. It is still not good enough.

Two, there needs to be a way to turn off the bright flashes of light that result from melee hits. In first person, those are right in your face and are too bright. Some kind of slider to adjust them way down would be okay, as long as that included all the way off.

What I have been doing as a way to tolerate combat is to bring up the Options screen (Alt-O) and leave it on during the fight. It fills up the computer screen pretty well and blocks out most of the lightshow. That screen is kind of boring to look at but better than being blinded.

So, a way to turn off that graphic stuff ALL the way off would be much appreciated.

Thanks for listening.

The particle effects oiptions all control those things, including how close to you and dense they are allowed to get I believe. You can also turn them all the way off.

I have to admit: I have not found a possibility to shut off the horrbible annoying Bard buff notes that float over the 1rst person screen with every tick. I have complained about that problem since those kind of buff effects were put in. The constant flashing is one of the reasons I have not taken Verse out to adventure with in a long time (fortunately during crafting the crafting station /item progress window blocks most of it). I am a strict first person view player, so any possibility to shut those things off would be great !

Thanks.

Purr~
Test Server = priceless
