A couple of these changed with this update (at least according to what I could find). This one has 4 parts elder ash owlbears, giants, dememted fiends, and a named. The named is the same as before (lvl 25), the owlbears are 25/26, and the giants are 25-26. The fiends, however (29^^^) seem a bit hard for what is a mid 20's quest. I've been doing this as a duo with a SK/Inquisitor, both of whom will be 28 before this is not doable for them. These guys hit for 200-300, and the lvl 26 Inquis reactive heals for 120 per hit. Also, 18 of them are required for the quest. This just seems out of line with the way things were before, and I'm not sure that they are intended to be this dificult.

edit: rewrote the whole thing after I verified the levels of them mobs.

Message Edited by bcbroom on 12-16-2005 02:37 PM
I have noticed that the AQ's are all but impossible to solo. Which may be the intention. I ahven't paid as much attention to the levels of the mobs. I usually play solo so when I come across any ^^^, I am done with the quest, since I cannot solo even gray ^^^'s.

I totally agree that these are not soloable, but I've been doing these as a group (actually a duo) and can (generally) take blue heroics. The rest of the mobs in this quest are 25-26 (even the named guy), so the 29 seems a bit out of place.

Also, from a feedback standpoint, if a small group needs to be 29-30 to finish a lvl 25 quest for a lvl 20 peice of armor (that will be obsolete at 30), then maybe things need to be looked at again.

Now, haveing said that, I don't think they should be too easy, I just want to make sure the dificulty of the quest is where it was designed to be.

A group has always been required to finished your AQ's, so that is nothing new. It really takes a group effort and when you think about it ,it makes sence. You are gonna get a full set of armor with good stats from AQ6. In the past I have always had to get a full group towards the end of my AQ's and for many others. I really don't think that the main parts of Armor (bp and Legs) should come off of soloable mobs because those are armor pieces that define you and that you are gonna use for along time to come. Now don't take this in a bad way, but there is also the player made alternative if your haveing that much trouble.

Patch notes from 21st

*** Quests ***

- The final part of the Freeport armor quests now requires different targets.

anyone know what they changed to?

By the way, I never said I thought they should be soloable. I just thought the lvl 29 mobs were out of place, since the rest of the mobs for the quest are 25-26.
