<DIV>Currently if you have a tier 4 effect going and an event occurs you have to use a tier 4 countereffect or the event is not countered. With the effect giving different results per durability and progress it would be nice to be able to use either or as counters. Thanks</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Labb Accident</DIV> <DIV><Childern of War></DIV>

What kind of crafter were you having this problem on?  Because I went from 33.5 to 34.5 with my provisioner tonight, and had no trouble using both my progress and durability buffs to counter events.  At least I don't think I did, since I made all pristine items... Hmm. <div></div>

<P>For several weeks (maybe a month or two), if you have just used (say) your t4 reaction, the t3 reaction wont counter an event untill after the icon completely refreshes. If you do the lower tier as a qeued action it will not counter.  If you just used your t3 reaction, you can qeue the t4 one and it will work.  It is very strange, and I can't imagine that this is intentional, but it has been going on for a while.</P> <P> </P>

<P>I was working on my weaponsmith when I noticed this still not working correctly. At first I was just testing to see if the fixes they had put in for the weaving counters were working correctly. And they are provided you dont try and swith tiers when an event takes place. And from what I saw last night its not just queing the effect that wont let it work but using a lower tier effext in any way unless you have no effects in your buff window.  While this is a known bug I hope mentioning it again might get it fixed soon.</P> <P> </P> <P>Labb Accident</P> <P><Children of War></P>

Its most likely suffering from the code that prevents a lower level buff spell from overwriting a higher level one in the same line. Just like if say a level 60 wizard casts a buff on someone then a level 40 wizard casts the lower level version of the same buff on that person, the level 40 won't overwrite (it would be silly to overwrite it). Most likely the tradeskill buff code is using the exact same code and thus causing the problem.

Provisioning counters don't count much....but it's been happening on my alchemist, sage, tailor, weaponsmith and carpenter
