Why are people so rude?

Why are people so rude?  I just do no understand why when I read posts on the other forums people are so vile and rude.  As an example look at the last couple of posts in the test feedback forum.  When they address SOE the tone they take was as if Sony had just called their mama bad names.  I understand that people put alot of time and effort into playing their characters but [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] isnt it just a game. Shoot what would they do if tomarro SOE decided EQ2 is a bad investment and just shut it down <div></div>

I don't know, why <i>are</i> people so rude? Why do they feel like walking into a GameStop and calling the girl behind the register a stupid b**ch is okay?  Why do they feel like treating cashiers and service workers everywhere like crap is okay?  Why do they feel like the second they get into the Internet they're allowed to say whatever the hell they want without a sense of decency? Why?  Because a whole lot of parents apparently screwed up on teaching the Golden Rule.  That's the best I've got, anyway.  *sigh* <div></div>

Not to mention that with the new way of "punishment" time out dont get it. I was brought up right with respect to others and a belt to the rumpus if I went the wrong path. Alot of people today expect the country and society in general to raise their kids and not accept the blame when they have no respect for anything or anyone.
