View Full Version : Note on Exp. Debt
<DIV>Igram here,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just wanted to dispel any confusion that may remain in regards to the new experience debt system which recently replaced shards. Currently characters gain .5% debt per death as opposed to the 2% announced earlier. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please note that as of posting this message, debt is only displayed as whole numbers, so at .5% debt, you currently see 1% debt displayed. Likewise until 2% had been reached. This is currently in the works to be changed so that tenths of a percentage will be displayed, ie, the experience bar will be able to display 1.5% experience debt.</DIV>

Are you saying it is being changed to 0.5% debt per death or that it was always 0.5% debt per death? Because if the latter than it is bugged unless recently fixed. When the new system was put in place I had 0% debt, and went and got killed and after dying had 2% debt. That isn't a rounding error <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

In addition the default exps bar has already been patched (as of v2528T) to display tenths of percents for debt, so that you may track it more easily.<div></div>

When I died today I was getting .8% debt <div></div>
<P>The discrepancies some players are reporting may be part of a verified display issue; I've made sure to get it into the database yesterday so that it could be looked at. Some aspect of paying off debt can cause the experience bar to display twice as much debt as you actually have when you die the next time. Of course, if this doesn't sound anything like what you are seeing, please continue to offer more information on the topic and we will investigate further. </P>
