<DIV>when this goes on .. I hope that test gets some new <STRIKE>tradeskillers, especially armorers...</STRIKE> players...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRIKE></STRIKE> </DIV> <DIV>because I will be gone at that time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>PvP was one of the biggest selling points for me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have had my share of griefing and ganking in Shadowbane... (pvp game ... look how well its doing now)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and DAOC .. I spent little time in Frontier areas ( you cant balance a game for both PvP and PvE.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>.. and this game wasnt supposed to be EQ 1 Version 2.. but its fast heading that way ..only with 4 classes .</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I could have played WoW .. I beta tested both... but I chose EQ2 because it wasnt a complete haven for mal-adjusted social misfits who could take out their insecurities and teenage angst by killing other players in an effort to validate their own existance, or justify their anti-social tendancies by having it be "part of the game".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The vision is alive, and the dream lives on .. its just not MY vision or MY dream.. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am realizing quite rapidly that this is indeed Sony's Game.. because its obviously not MINE.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Heiro on <span class=date_text>10-13-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:25 AM</span>

<DIV>Will be watching closely to see how this pans out. I am not the slightest bit interested in being ganked and looted while harvesting. My poor miner had enough of that in UO. I am carebear all the way and not at all ashamed of being so.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If this is going to be non-consensual pvp in adventure zones then I am gone. No hesitation.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Sacha on <span class=date_text>10-13-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:40 AM</span>

<P>There are sooo many PvP choices out there. I played D2 a Bzillion years ago, and people got really crafty at killing the helplessly non-vicious people. Even consensual PvP can be implemented badly. Please Sony, leave PvP to the 'other guys'. It is certainly one of the reasons I am here.</P> <P>Minnah Mousze</P>

<P>It appears that opening new PVP servers is winning out. That would be good - I hate PVP. People can argue all they want about concensual PVP (i.e. SWG), but all I ever saw it do in SWG was cause lag and tons of hate. </P> <P>Saying that, there are a couple of you that could use a jaly bomb..... Nah, just kidding.</P> <P> </P>

<P>PvP in, Toralu out....Played pvp before and had enough of it. PvP itself isn't what made it the most horrible gaming experience possible in this world. It's the bad losers and sore winners. I don't turn on my computer to deal with every tom, [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] and harry with attitude problems. I turn on my computer and this game to have fun...to smile...to chat with pleasant people. PvP does nothing but premote disgusting attitude and poor behavior....ESPECIALLY non consentual.</P> <P> </P> <P>And, no, SWG is not a good example of consentual pvp. It was just as full of kindergarden bull as any other pvp game.</P> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>*NOTE* Don't use the short name for Richard because it's a no no...</DIV>

Trindelle leads her horse up to the copse of trees and tethers her just inside the foliage.. she patiently waits for the area to clear, then puts out a distress call to oogly, "please please, thier after me, thier going to kill me, i could really use some help"...trin patiently waits for oogly to arrive, and gets the gnoll mercenaries ready.. with 2 of the 15 in tow, she runs out towards oogly with the gnolls in tow beating on her. once within range she says thank you to oogly, checks to make sure the zone is still clear of pc's, slowly circles around behind the bear,.. pulls the signal, and starts beating on the bear. you tratior says oogly,..oogly gets out "Trin is now.." in guild chat before the other13 gnolls join the battle and we silence him.. then i reply in guild chat "..guildleader.. oogly is dead, oogly is dead."dances and dances.. then starts removing all the primatic weapons and armor, and tons of plat off the body of the fallen bear.. then slices up the bear, hides to the tailors and bearmeat to the provisioners.. <evil laugh> .. heheh mental link to lord jaly.. it is done my lord, you are now #1 above all.. <div></div>

I, too, would not play on a PvP server. Unfortunately for us, SoE seems committed to implementing PvP, and there is only one Test server. So, unless there is PvP on Test, where can they try it out? /mourns the fun she might have had in the future, on a Test server that was never marred by the introduction of "features" that bring out the worst in the most childish of players Edowen <div></div>

I also have no interest in pvp. Where are we reading that this is coming? I think there are many players who chose eq2 quite simply because it has no pvp. <div></div>

<P>Got to admit Heiro, I don't see anything wrong with them adding PVP to separate servers. This to me is no problem as long as I am not forced to play on a PVP server. If they made test into a PVP test server, I would probably request a transer off of test. </P> <P>Saying that, they did not use test to test the station exchange servers. I would expect they would do a beta style server to test a PVP ruleset server. I don't believe there are enough PVP mindset testers to fully check this out.</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>I am with Jaly on this, If they open completely new servers for those misfits that want to cause hell in PVP that is fine. Just <STRONG>PLEASE</STRONG> keep it off the regular servers. I hated the arenas in EQ1 and avoided all PVP in that game as well, minus the occasional duel between me and my hubby (which were very infrequent). If they end up putting it on all servers it will unfortunately probably push both me and the hubby on to new things as well /sigh :smileysad:</DIV>

I'm okay with PvP if they make it on certain servers ONLY. But unless they clone Test -- which, admittedly, the've done before, for the DOF Beta -- then I get the sudden feeling of being completely and totally screwed over.</span><div></div>

Do ya'll not remember PVP coming to EQ 1 test server? Sure, it was annoying for a short time but it was moved off soon enough and except for a VERY small number of people it caused no problems. Plus, those annoying folks were singled out for the future. Anyway, doesn't seem like any reason to make a big deal over.

I don't think I will play on test while pvp testing occurs there. But I will come back. I will go make an alt somewhere and ride it out. I have no, none, zero desire for pvp, for arena fights etc. I won't be playing it. When the nightmare leaves test, I will return if it does. ~Eva <div></div>

<P>PvP stinks. One of the main reasons I am playing EQ2 is because it is the only game out there that doesn't have it. I won't quit Test even if they do PvP here for a bit like they did back in EQ, but do not expect any testing from me on it, I hate PvP with a passion and getting ganked is a sure way to get me to log off for a week. Nothing ruins my "fun time" faster than some jerk getting his jollies by killing me.</P> <P> </P> <P>It was bad enough trying to roll an alt after the duel crap was put on test.. level 3-6 morons on IoR non-stop spamming you to duel them... gah.</P><p>Message Edited by Kwoung on <span class=date_text>10-20-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:43 PM</span>

That is true, there will be very little testing of PvP on the test server. For the most part we are just not into that or we wouldn't be on test.
