Player mail issues

Since the patch which addressed the last mail problems, new problems have shown up. People are getting the mail message and when they go to the box there is no mail. I have had the mail message up for 3 days now and have gotten mail off and on but the message has always sayed on.Reports have also been that some people are getting mail in the mailbox but no message telling them they have mail.

I have the mail message on Tor and no mail in the box. I'm pretty sure the mail that should be there is text mail with no attachment. I had sent a friend a bunch of stuff and about 5 minutes after they logged in I got the mail icon...I was sure it was them mailing to say thank you. When I got there...no mail in the box. Still have that icon...going on 3 days now as well.

<DIV>I am also having the problem.   It's either a problem w/ a person repling to your mail, or sending only a text message w/ no gift.  I know the mail was sent, but only the icon shows up.  </DIV>

<DIV>After some testing with alts, it indeed is text messages only that are "invisible" in our boxes, I find if I attach a copper to messages, they show up. :smileyindifferent:</DIV>

<P>Hi folks, Igram here.</P> <P>Just got finished testing the mail system on Test and everything went smoothly for us in QA. The newer issue that had cropped up in regards to players being notified of mail that never arrives or is blank appears to be fixed- Ronobi took a quick poll online and several others were also able to successfully use the Norrathian Postal Service to receive mail and items. The second issue Grimsore mentioned was also not encountered. </P> <P>Of course, it is also possible that we weren't sending the right sort of items or just didn't send enough mail to encounter what could be a low frequency issue at this point. If this comes up again for anyone, please be sure to note the details here- I'll be checking back periodically to see if we have any new test cases to try.</P>
