<DIV>The new loading pages are beautifull! However I really preferred the update notes to a list of my live characters. I left my live characters behind, and besides, I know who they are, I want the news back <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just my 2 cents</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Minnah Mousze of test</DIV>

I much preferred the update notes as well. Maybe a toggle tab to show update notes or characters.

Guys, the update notes can be accessed from the patcher. Just hit the update notes button. Ya know the one right under Preferences? silly silly =) <div></div>

But its harder to tell when stuff changes....also this is (I think) the live update notes, and not test.

It being the live update notes and not tests is what I thought as well...maybe I'm wrong

<span><blockquote><hr>Grimsore wrote:It being the live update notes and not tests is what I thought as well...maybe I'm wrong<hr></blockquote> Ditto.  I've never yet seen anything that reflected Testness in the new launcher or its notes.</span><div></div>

<P>Indeed, the patcher does not even have a little note on it (like the old one did) that says it is for accessing Test.  There is no way short of looking at the pull down menu of characters to tell if the patcher is for playing Test or Live.  Further, the ability to see which files are being downloaded is gone.  So, if you are in the patcher in an attempt to work around a bug of some kind (this being Test after all), you can't tell what is going on as it happens.  You have to wait until the patcher is done and then look at the patch log file (I think).</P> <P>It is all very pretty and maybe SoE is hoping it helps attract and hold more customers - nothing wrong with that! - but as a tool for people who are trying to help SoE, it is a step backwards.</P> <P>Edowen</P>

<DIV>and seeing the characters i abandoned on Live every time i load up test is a little disheartening, can't the character profiles reflect the server you're using . . . . . e/g test server patcher displays test server chars, not live chars.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>:smileyvery-happy:</DIV> <DIV>Lupus L'Zuli Test Server tailor/warden/alt junkie</DIV>

I think I am going to have to delete my live characters just to get them off that dang screen.. I have zero interest in seeing those old dust covered char names each time I log in.

SoE appears to have tied the patcher into EQ2Players... and since our Test toons are not listed there, all we get to see on our screens are our dusty musty Live toons.  Since they probably will never list Test toons on EQ2Players, I think we are stuck. Edowen <div></div>

I wonder if I will break the patcher if I have no chars to display?

No, it just says "no characters" or something. My wife's account has no live characters.
