In any form of relationship communication is the key to sucess. With out communication the relationship will fall apart and any and all goals will never be realized. That is happening here on the Test server. Unless the Developers goal is to run off all the players on the test server so they can shut it down. We are currently getting ZERO communication from anyone at SoE. Its sad when it takes an e-mail from a player to someone at SoE to get an e-mailed response to the concerns the entire server is having. This forum we are posting in is intended for the test players to have some direct contact with the developers so we can make sure the bugs and issues we find get taken care of before they go live. Even when we had QA people on the server their first response to any issue we had was to make sure we posted it on these forums. And even then we rarely got a response. And now, during the testing of major changes to the game the response level has decreased. So whats the point? Why should we test?

Point one of communication is to let all the parties know the needs each party has and make plans to meet those needs. We are aware your number one need is feedback on any and all changes made to the game. You need to know specific bugs as a result of those changes. You need to know how those changes effect day to day game play. We do our best to meet those needs. We submit /bug reports on every issue we find. We submit feedback on everything we think needs to be looked at. But we dont know what all the issues are. Are the changes implemented with the recient patch intended to have x effect or is that not working correctly? Should Mobs now be doing X or is that not working as intended? So our needs are the answers to basic questions about the changes as they happen. When those questions are met by silence how can we be expected to provide you with good information? When we ask these questions our intentions have your best interests in mind not our own. If you believe we should not have those answers say so. We'd be a lot happier with a "we dont intend for you to have that information" than the dead space below our questions. Any form of response t let us know you took the time to read what we have posted would be better then the thought we are being completely ignored currently.

The second point of communitation is to address the daily comcerns and head off problems before they occur. When issues take place that the players can not fix themselves we need to ba able to come to these boards and address these issues and get a response. For example we have been having problems with Qeynos Harbor for almost three weeks now. It does not bother all the players but over the course of those weeks many people have had to stop playing their characters because they get stuck in the zone. We still have not had any form of acknowledgement of that issue at all. And this is a major issue that is preventing a good number of people from testing. We have been asking for a /respec for 3 weeks now so we can test the changes being made to skills and bonuses earned by gaining levels. These are major skills which will directly effect how the patch changes effect gameplay to the point where having these skills may completely change how a patch effect a class, yet we cant get any response from the developers on getting a /respec. Now after this last patch the test players are concerned if the developers have any clue what is intended by the changes to the combat system. All of the players pretty well knew there was a need for changes in the combat system. Too many unbalances existed with the old system that could not be addressed with out major changes. Yet the current method being used to make those changes makes no sense. The patches being put in place each night are recationary rather than change. It seems to me that thought is not being put into the changes. Rather than finding the issues and dealing with them on a specific basis, broad sweeping changes are being made which have a negative effect on most encounters but work as intended on the encounter which need the change. And as we offer our thoughts, concerns, and problems, we are still ignored.

So now my final question. Do you want the test server to continue or are you planning on closeing it down?

Labb Accident

Children of War
