Noticed something while fighting in Runnyeye (in a group).Mobs are able to riposite my attacks, even though I'm standing *behind* the mob.I realize that the parry skill was changed on the player side to allow protection from attacks from directions other then directly in front. But at the same time, this has a negative effect on scouts (and other melee) who attack from behind. So, I feel that another tweak to parry/riposite code is going to be needed. Parry should work if you are +/-120 degrees in front of the mob (240deg coverage out of 360deg). Riposite should be given a smaller arc, +/- 100 degrees (200deg coverage).I feel frustrated when in the course of doing my scoutly duty of attacking from behind, I gain no attack advantage other then being able to use my flanking/rear attacks. If I'm going to be parried/riposited to death from directly behind the mob, I feel I'm at a disadvantage to fighters who can stand anywhere and use all of their attacks freely.

This would only apply on Monk and Bruiser mobs as thats who received the changes on the player side. As a brusier it was a needed change to allow us to tank groups of mobs close to as well as a single mob encounter. The change worked very well. I'd hate to see riposite be removed from behind but then I can see your point of not being able to avoid damage from behind. I'm sure there are epic monk/brusier mobs out there some place and beng riposited for 1k-5k from the back would pretty much make more than the MT useless as far as melee classes.I wonder if they can do a change to damage riposite does from behind. Maybe a riposite from the front does full damage as before but from the back damage is reduced to 5 percent. Or what ever, I don't care about the damage as much as the blocking of the hit.

Mmmm. I've had Condemning Blade parried a lot lately, and it's ticking me off. My basic solo strategy is: go into stealth, open with a high-damage hit, then do what I need to do to finish off a mob before it finishes me. Assassins, for all the damage we do, take hits very badly. I can understand a mob resisting Condemning Blade (or Garrotte, or any other skill I use), but being parried -- on my first attack, from in stealth and from the rear --drives me nuts. Pondscum's been bearing the brunt of my complaining and exclamations there, heh.
