These comments pertain particularly to the Hideout and solo arena zones since the 6/22 patch. The loot flows like water. No, it gushes. I don't know how much I got for beating the solo arena - but on one evening, between doing that and clearing the Hideout zone as part of a small group, I ended up with more than 60g in cash. That is way too much for a low 30s toon to be making doing repeatable activities. Personally, the loot is nice and certainly useful, but if this goes Live the way it is, some players will only play those zones and the plat farmers will have a field day. <ul> <li>In the case of the Arena, I would like to suggest that a dialogue box be added for claiming the rewards. This would be consistant with other parts of EQ2, and would allow people to see what they are getting. What happened to me in the solo arena was I got a message in the popup window telling me about the dreadsnout head (very neat reward) and the spell, but no message anywhere (that I noticed) about how much coin had been placed in my inventory.</li> <li>In the case of the Hideout, I was grouped with two other players, one about 10 levels above me and the other in between. Perhaps there was a problem with scaling and the loot was determined by the highest player rather than an average. Just about every chest (and there were plenty of them) had at least 1 gold and change in it. Many had 2g or even 3g and change. The reward messages appeared to tell the total amount of coin that is being split instead of what your share was. I would like to suggest that this be altered so you get a message that says how much you are getting. That would be more consistant with other reward messages.</li> </ul> Edowen <div></div>

<DIV>Edowen, you hit the same bug in the loot table in the Hideout that Pondscum and I hit the other day. 34 SK/41 Assassin going into the Hideout got a cash chest drop on every single mob in the whole zone, and they were scaled to T5. I left the zone about 40g richer, and Pondscum went back in with Osen (43 Defiler) later in the day and had the same thing happen; he netted a plat in that zone. Someone (Saavedra? Svartmane? It had an S but I don't remember who, hehe) came down and watched and agreed that it was way off, hehe.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I definitely hope it gets fixed before it goes Live because it's *way* off, but on the up side I'm glad a big bug resulted in me getting rich and not getting dead, for once. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> The bug seems to be with certain group combinations; going into the Hideout solo four times in the last few days has dropped not one single money chest. (But a fair number of T5 woodworker books, hehe.)</DIV>

<DIV>Can you call out if this is still a problem after tonight's update? I know that one of the "Every mob drops a chest" bugs was fixed earlier. If there's another one, it'd be good to know. Thanks. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>An update tonight? Hmmm, no patch so far.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However, I can say that I did the solo instance of the Hideout, and the loot was in line with what one would normally expect. In fact, I need to write up a note about that experience, because it actually was much easier than I have grown to expect from Splitpaw. (I spoke with Ryba in-game about this too.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Having said that, what I did does not check to see if the loot table is right for a group that spans a wide range of levels. Looks like that is something to do tomorrow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edowen</DIV>

It appears to be fixed. Kella and I went in again, and were getting what seemed to be normal loot for the area. <div></div>
