After the patch of the 22nd the duration of the necromancer root spell "Chains of Torment" The listed duration has been brought back from 36 seconds to 12 seconds (Casting time still is 4 seconds, recast still is 9 seconds). I didn't see anything about this in the Patch notes. From others I hear other roots like Frozen Manacles had been shortened as well. Is this an intentional change or not? Furthermore it appears that the root wears off as soon as the spell becomes available to cast again (which should be after 9 seconds).

Yep, wizzie spells were changed also. Frozen Manacles was 6-9 seconds and both tehter and ring of cold were 12 seconds (from 36).

These are suppossed to be their new values with the combat changes. The problem with ROC is the recast is 45 seconds - you want to talk about pointless.

You might want to look at these again, I checked yesterday and the Wizard roots were back to ~30 sec. I tried Frozen Manacles, Truss, and Ring of Cold...all were 30 sec duration, and seemed to be working pretty close to how they were before.

Aye they have been reverted. What scares me is while the push was unintentional, the changes will be intentional with the combat changes.
