Title pretty much says it all...it really does throw our economy for a loop when a bunch of rare items all of a sudden show up on the broker.

I must be slow today... I didnt see what you are refering to. Is what ever showed up on the freeport broker? If it was on the qeynos side then ether these rare items are already sold or I am missing something.

About 5-8 new merchants showed up on both evil and good sides. For eample two high level tailors are now apparently copied over. If nothing else, I picked up about 4 adepts I was missing. Some prices are alot higher, some were pretty cheap (I guess those items are in abundance on production).

I too though think that copies should come over as toon only. No banks, vaults or coin should transfer.

I found it useful to be honest. I picked up a couple of adepts and 3 stacks of T5 drink. You simply cannot get that stuff on Test on a daily basis.

And the prices aren't THAT inflated. I mean, we already have a handful of serious overchargers on test. 11 GP for a leaf?? 1 gp for field maple. (Yes, that crappy T2 herb). It's getting worse, not better. The prices are NOT coming down, as we all hoped after the "free" plat disappeared. Our prices are going the way of live daily, so I don't see the difference personally.

Just mho, feel free to pick it to shreds :p

I think at this point we can safely say that the economy on test is anything but a priority. I would have to agree, however, that it seems a bit unethical.

Hmm, I wonder if they are allowed to take money back to live with them? It would seem to be a bit on the controversial side after that big flap over them being able to copy and any advantages it might have imparted. In particular, because they copy, they can come here and sell T5 rares without risk of loosing them on live. Call it a hunch, but every thread we have raised about this before has been ignored, so we may never know.

My guess, however, is that they can't go back to live with it. Instead they just give the free money away to friends here on test or stack it up on permanent test alts.

Message Edited by Shunidar on 06-15-2005 06:47 AM

I don't mind them selling on our server to be honest. I'm sure us lvl 40-50 can find things that we need from them and since there are not many T-5 folks it does'nt effect any of the lower lvl with rares, equipment and such. It's not like they are going to make a huge profit and seems it just helps us folks out.
