Wondering if we have an ETA for a fix on account transfers for TEST? Still unable as of 5/29 to split accounts on TEST server. The pulldown menu option still does not exist for TEST server character selection, although all other servers are listed. Should help TEST player population more than you'll see player's leave.

Second, internal server account transfers need to have the guild penalty waived, when a same guild invite can be accomplished within a set time period, or some other rule. From SOE's point of view, encouraging the creation of additional player accounts is good. From a guild's point of view, I have over one third of my guild which are RL husband/wife, or other household members currently sharing an account, who would like to split their accounts, given the chance to do so. The guild penalty on our smaller guild will be immense. Why do something so counter-productive to both interests?

Realize that the live server froggie event is top priority right now, but when you can.

Agedone, 41st Mystic

Guildleader, <AncientTreachery>

Not sure I follow what you are speaking of... But I will mention that sharing accounts is against the EULA so I would not expect any support on that issue...

1. By clicking the "I Accept" button and providing us with a credit card number, you represent that you are an adult and are either accepting this Agreement on behalf of yourself or your child. You may not transfer or share your Account with anyone, except that if you are a parent or guardian, you may permit one child to use the Account instead of you (in which case you may not use that Account).

I think this is what Miral was talking about. Have no idea how well it would stand up to community property laws. /shrug

Guilty as charged....never actually read the fine print. In my case, yes, what I'm interested in is transferring toons for the purpose of two boxing. For others in my guild, and gamers in general....I've played EQ since Brell server went live, and household members sharing accounts has probably created more new accounts for SOE than any marketing tactic they ever came up with. So their lawyers notwithstanding, sharing toons on an account is so common that SOE should encourage them to start new accounts, not discourage it. Household discounts?

Whatever the legal case, why is TEST server being singled out for no account transfers? And why the lack of response from the devs to the question? Trying to give SOE money....they wont take it....whose world are we in now?

Agedone, 41st Mystic, TEST

Guildleader, <AncientTreachery>

I dono, probably because Test is its own little world.... You have different login servers, different game data, etc. Not to mention the fact that anything on test today could be wiped from existance tomorrow. If SOE offered paid transfers on test and then it had to be wiped for some reason, they'd have some pretty angry customers to deal with. That is not something SOE is ready for.

My problem is that SoE lets some guilds copy their play characters to test without transferring.

I would have loved that option. But im stuck on test, which im not loving, due to the low numbers (nothing against the people) but SoE will not let me go back to my original server.

I wasnt around for the uber platinum thing or anything. It would harm nothing, yet select people get to test and play with their characters while others do not.
