I think the devs have been watching too much sci-fi lol the snail head looks wierd lol. Someone got hit with a killer snail! Last years events were awesome. I loved the haunted house and puzzles even though many people kept thinking they were always bugged but missed a clue. Haunted houses are fun. And trick-or-treating was very kewl. Pumpkin quest was fun also.

Well... considering the amygdalan creatures have been around since the launch of the Plane of Fear in EverQuest. I doubt its Sci-Fi movies that gave them inspiration for that halloween mask. More so they used it because they currently have that model in EverQuest 2, and it gives the right feel for Halloween. As for last years events, I enjoyed them greatly.

Message Edited by TheManInTheBox on 09-30-2006 03:56 PM

No candy?Where did any developer say we wouldn't be getting candy during the event? If this is true, which I don't believe it is. Whoever removed candy from a event like this should be throughly beat with the nerf bat from being a SOE developer to a SOE custodian. :manmad:

It looks like they are not in /cutemode this time, though. You can see the model for this one in the cave behind the temple of cazic thule, or on fear tainted isle in tenebrous. or you could set your "way back" machine to 300 odd years ago and go to the plane of fear in eq1 and find them again. The race is known as the Amygdalans, they are a product of the plane of fear. yes, the original designer probably read HP lovecraft, but I don't think it was "too many" These creatures are meant to inspire fear, and tentacles seem to do the trick for many cultures... the japansese especially have a fascination for such tentacled creatures, probably due to their island location... watch their cartoons... A giant monster... tentacles... a person turning into a half human half robot... tentacles... a nun fresh out of church... tentacles... a mother breastfeeding her baby... with tentacle [Removed for Content]....

Cazic-Thule = Cthulu, abbreviate Cazic and replace the E in thule with U. The funny part being cazic himself looks nothing like Cthulu, the Amygladan (which that mask is of btw, it's not a nautillus mask ) closely resemble him.

Well, not any more... Willow wood is a great example of a nice crafting zone. The broker is right there, the bank is 5 steps from the crafting zone, as in the mailbox. Not in North Qeynos.......Edit : nice, just read that theyve put the instances back in.... The Nights of the Dead stuff doesn't appear to have been patched in on live servers yet. Someone mentioned Oct. 11th as the day it would be in. I have no clue if they are correct.

The scarecrow king quest in Antonica (starts with Ponchy in Windstalker Village) which has stayed live all year has been updated to give a new reward for this year (supposedly you can do it again if you did it last year but I can't test that personally), but the other quest and trick or treating are not live yet. It is a little early yet give the city folk a chance to finish decorating and set things up .

Hello Raijinn, I have a language problem with Eq2players site.My Internet browser is set in french, thus I am directed to the french version of the website, I want to go to the english version but I can't because I am directed to the french site. There is no option or button on the website to choose the language we want, please forward this to the Web team, it's really annoying. I want to read the website in english but can't since it detects my browser as french and I can't do nothing about this. Thank you.

This might sound like a really strange question. But what are the stats of the machine that grabbed those screenshots and what are the EQ2 settings that were set?

I have a 256meg X700 ATi vid card, 4 gig of 3200 memory, and a 3.6G intel CPU, 7200 RPM drives (willing to switch to a 10k SATA drive if needed).

I just want to know what would be used for those screenshots. They are beautiful in quality, I want to get to that place

thanks!

I think it's a good idea that there is always something going on in the land of norrath, however even though halloween is portrayed in the game, alot of people as well as myself complained about the haunted house. I think the only differences in the house was free masks, and dance challenge. However the trick or treating was fun, just don't know how so many people got over 100.
