<DIV>A couple months ago, myself and a friend - low 60s (at that time) monk and warlock - decided to go take on a couple HQ updates.  My warlock friend needed Cauldron Hollow for Ghoulbane and the Captain update for Manastone.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Captain was a close fight.  He couldn't hit me in melee, of course, but once in a while he casts a lifetap that managed to burn through me for around 1k damage each time - I just couldn't resist them.  It took him a while to finish me, but he had me down when he was around 30% health, and finished my friend soon after.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Similar thing happened in Cauldron Hollow.  We took out the first couple sets of mobs no sweat, but as soon as we attacked an encounter with casters in it, we got ANNIHILATED.  It was really sad how quickly we went down <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>THEREFORE, my question:  Since the upcoming combat revamp is changing epic MELEE attacks to no longer be guaranteed hits, will this revamp also be changing epic SPELLS to no longer burn through the resistances of someone 30+ levels higher than the caster???</DIV>
