The dance with the lady is broken: The music started, and then the Skellies started dancing... not really knowing what's going on i failed miserably. when i treid to do it again the music started, but the skellies didn't move and no commands where given... had to exit the mansion, delete the quest to try again.EDIT: second time i tried i got another chance... passed it.. so dunno if that bug is consistent...

Message Edited by Cremaster1978 on 09-30-2006 06:39 PM

it hasn't hit but you do not have to delete the quest, just leave the mansion and restart the quest. (note you will have to do all the steps again )

First time I tried this I was just using mouse click and sucked. 26 successes and then the skellies started to move really fast at which point I got 3 fails and it was over. It was enough to get credit and advance the quest.Went in a second time for kicks. It didn't cost anything to go in again. This time I put the four dance moves onto my hotbar alphabetically in slots 1-4. I used the keyboard to enter the move I needed to perform instead of using the mouse. Way easier. 50 successes 0 fails. No bonus or anything afaik for not being a perfect dancer. From my first attempt it looks like you can get away with barely passing, as I only scored a 52% and the quest progressed.

I put Back in slot 1, Down in slot 2, Spin in 3, and Sway in 4. I believe it's random every time. I just found it alot easier to keep track of what move was where and hit the corresponding number doing it this way. Using the mouse isn't bad at first but it gets faster every round. At the very least, I would recommend putting them in alphabetically order to help you keep them straight.

its not really any macros to be built, when you first talk to her, you gain the abilities to back, down, spin, sway. just move those icons to your hotbars from your knowledge book and there ya go.
Message Edited by Kadurm on 10-08-2006 08:26 PM

I will have to check that when I log back in.

You can keep the skills but they can only be used when doing this quest. If you examine the 4 dance abilities it will tell you this.

I got a perfect score by doing the same thing, alphabetized icons on my hotbar. You are also correct about no bonus for perfection. I was sad about that.

Kind of sad that they can't be used outside that particular quest. So I have 2 threads one here the other in fan art (To get the video makers in on it) hoping to get people to want to keep the moves. So is the update the 11th? or do we have to wait for the next LU?

I just tried the Dance Quest last nite.......so funny watching a butt ugly troll doing spins with a skelly head. Quest updated fine for me first time.

I agree with the other posts. It would be really good to keep the dance moves. A great way to relieve boredom during camping by having quick pirouette competition :smileyvery-happy:

I have to disagree with those dancers seeking more moves. I think the dance emote in EQ2 is bad and the quest dance moves aren't any better. There is a good side to that. The good part of that is there is no pelvic thrusting or MC Hammer-like WoW dancing in EQ2, nor is there the plethora of stupid people hanging out in town yelling, "Hey everyone, get naked and dance" like there is in Guild Wars. I quite enjoy this dance-light version of EQ2 and hope it remains that way.If SoE built an instance for the pelvic-thrusters and Guild Wars rejects to hang out and dance in and their dance emotes only worked in that instance I would be fine with that, other than it being a waste of resources.

Message Edited by countjackula on 10-19-2006 11:02 PM
