I love the fun Gnome crafting style music that played in the instances. I liked crafting to it. What is going to happen with it? Are they going to use it somewhere else? I hope so. I'm going to miss it. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

It was very monotonous. I always hoped that they could have had the music in the instances cycle through the music of the various zones throughout the world. Like it would play, music from Antonica, Commonlands, Thundering Steppes, etc... Just to give some variety.Anyway, they are not removing the instances so I would think everything about them including the music would remain unchanged.</div>

<DIV>seeing as how the tradeskill societies will continue to exist, the music will too, and I find that offensive that you called it "Gnome" music.</DIV>

Oh I must have not seen that they said the instances are staying then. I was on test when they removed them so I wasn't sure if they were going to put them back.Good to hear though. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<P>Music in a world with no speakers, or people playing music where does it come from? (its repetative and annoying in alot of zones after a week of playing in new expansions it goes right back to 0 volume level, its alot nicer to hear waves crashing or something growling as it moves into enguage you.</P> <P>they need to make music come from camps... or reverberate threw tunnels leading to a group of npcs. Think of a camp of orcs getting ready to attack would you want to hear trala la la la music or drumb beats that get louder the closer you get to a encounter that is hostile ... be awsome way of knowing when your about to get jumped from behind.</P> <P>And in towns make the taverns actully play music that your in... you know in graystone tavern you would have more of a highland theme and in castleview more of a clasical theme.</P>

They need to add little gnome-crafted devices, about 3" x 2" x 1/4", that let you store various pieces of music in the game and you can cycle through them either linearly or in a "shuffle" mode <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<DIV>Or they could let ANY race tinker them up...</DIV>

<DIV>All of the music in EQ2 needs to be completely redone. It's very sad and not in ANY way shape or form immersing or adding to the gaming experience.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Don't get me wrong, I love EQ2, but there was obviously next to zero effort put into the sound scores in this game. I don't want to mention names, or play favorites, but there's a game out there with some HUGE music and it added a lot to the experience.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please revisit that.</DIV>

Maybe they could add in a juke-box to the tradeskilling instances so we could play all our favorite Norrathian top 40 tunes like "Don't step on my vampire fang embroidered shoes" or "For whom Vhalen's Bell toll." Now that would be a treat!

<P>Oh yeah!</P> <P>And other great hits like...</P> <P>"Call of Cazic-Thulu"</P> <P>"Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner's Bell"</P> <P>"Turmoil Cemetary Gates"</P> <P>"Diary of a Desert Madman"</P>
<P>I'm a little confused as to what the fuss is. You know you can mod your music files to play what you want, right? For example I hate the Freeport city music, but I love the Exiled theme. So I changed it so whenever I enter Freeport, or my home, it plays the music I like (Exile.)</P> <P>So if you don't like the music being played in the tradeskill instance, and there is a different theme you'd prefer, there are instructions in the "Look and Feel" section of the boards on how to adjust that. And you don't have to select EQ2 music either. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<DIV>Hmmmmmmmmm....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'll give that a shot!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Although I loved the EQ1 Kelethin and South Karanas music, I just wish they had something along those lines, but I'll steal from other games if I must.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>How often (If at all) will the patcher undo my settings or replace my files with the originals?</DIV>

There was a way to add your favorite MP3's to the game to replace existing music mentioned a while back. Can anyone refresh my memory on how that's done?

I use the EQ2 MusicModder program (if you to to the Audio board in the Look and Feel section you can find it there along with other programs I'm sure.) I haven't tried it yet, but I'm pretty sure you could select any music you wanted to replace the song you like. I found it erally simple to install and use. The only complaint I have is that sometimes it doesn't clear my custom music folder when I want it to and I have to delete the folder myself and start over. Otherwise I think it's great.</P> <P>Check it out and look at what other programs they have there as well. Good luck!</P>
