View Full Version : Quest journal suggestion
There should be an option to hide completed collection quests, since the window can get rather lengthy if you've completed a lot of them. It would also be nice if they were sorted better, to make it easier to find whether a particular collection was done or not.

It does default sort by type alphabetically (ex, Coin collections will be listed above Wrap collections) and it does list the completed ones at the bottom. That said, the collection quest journal page does need more work. For example, if you're trying to see one of your unfinished mummy Wrap collections and your collection quest journal looks like mine you sure have to scroll past a hell of alot of unfinished Tome collections.

I wouldn't mind a better sorting method on collection quests, there are just so many to go through. Perhaps if there were sub-tabs to the collection tab. Such as "Bone Collections", "Shard Collections", "Insect Collections", "Tome Collections", etc... with a "Miscellaneous" tab for stuff that is unique or too difficult to categorize.

Is that recent, or have I just not noticed that? It's been a while since I've looked at the collections thoroughly. I also wish they'd fix the quest portion, since the areas are no longer listed in any sort of order, although they used to be alphabetical until an LU or two ago.

StevusX wrote:Well all the completed collections are at the bottom of the list so you dont have to scroll thru them at all.

There's that, but I like my journal to be as uncluttered as possible.

Sojourner78 wrote:

I wouldn't mind a better sorting method on collection quests, there are just so many to go through.
I would love to be able to see when i mouse over a collection item some kind of indicator of "needed" or "already have". Often in groups (especially on NT book pages), people will just assume they need all book pages and then end up looting some that others need. Or it takes 5 minutes for everyone to look up their pages needed in their journal.

Even simply putting book quests in their own tab would make it a bit less cumbersome. (perhaps in the collections tab there might be some sub-tabs: books, bones, bugs ect)

I totally agree that we need a change in the collections part of the journal. Rather than having both completed and partial collections on the same page, I'd like to see the completed collections on their own page. While they're at it, I'd like to see a page that lists all unstarted collections. In all, we'd have three collections pages with the default being the partial page.

As for the sparkling question marks on the ground, I propose that they sparkle when you need them, and not sparkle when you don't need them. Simple as that! Then I would only grab the ones that I want and not go crazy racing others to a collectible that I already have. I especially want this now because of the shells and feathers in the newbie areas that I've already completed on the starter island.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a list of all the quests, so I can go get them all, but others would hate that, and I don't see it happening.

One option that I'd like to see added is to show us how much XP each collection will give before turning them in. It's a wish and not mandatory.
