test goes live dates

Other than "when it's ready", the devs tend to aim for the middle of the month. There's usually only 1 or two days notice on the right panel of the forum lists.

Every now and then we'll hear a target date, but often that's when they they expect the GU to be on Test longer than usual.

It's usually 7-14 days after the LAST part of a GU goes to test.  That means the b, c, d, or whatever.Thing is, usually you don't have forewarning about how many parts there are to a Test Update.<div></div>

<P>In my recolition I think we have only gotten 5 total dates for when a LU would be Published, usually there is only a day or twos warning if that. The best thing to do when trying to guess when the LU goes live is like another poster said look 7 to 14 days down the road depending on how massive an LU it is, and there are other clues as well such as devs saying "whats on test is most likly not the final form and is put there to get Public Feedback" those ALWAYs take longer(sometimes a great deal longer) as you generally get alot of parts, as they adjust the code based on feedback.</P> <P>BTW the 5 dates we got:</P> <P>Bloodlines Launch(wich I think was slipped a week)</P> <P>Splitpaws Launch</P> <P>DoFs Launch</P> <P>KoSs Launch</P> <P>and Fallen Desty's Launch(wich I think was slipped a week) so the next date for an update we are likly to get is EoFs update.</P>

<FONT color=#33ccff>What I have generally noticed is that the LU's, or GU's now, generally hit live servers the following Wednesday <EM>after</EM> the "last" part of the update. So assuming that GU27 doesn't have any more parts, I would expect it to go live on the 30th. This is just my general rule of thumb, and as someone already pointed out, you rarely are told how many parts will be involved. In the end, updates are generally pushed out when they are ready. That's about as truely specific and accurate as it seems to get!</FONT>
