Hello all -

I read through a link on another thread that a long since departed DEV named uh Fizz-something, once mentioned the possibility of adding "Gnomish Fuel Vending" Machines to be placed in your home.

For those of us who want to craft in the home - this would be a VERY welcome idea, as otherwise you have to run to the tradeskiller for fuel every so often or keep piles of it on hand at home.

I guess my question is - was this ever added to the game? and if so - where do I get one? ANd if not, why not? and can we have this in the near future? Seems like it wouldnt be that hard to add. The mechanics for a fuel vendor are already there - just replace the NPC with some sort of box...

Never added. Never will be added. This would only promote botting more.

These really would be a nice addition to the game. Yeah I can mail stuff to myself, I can also run back and forth to the tradeskill instance and buy more fuel, which, I might add is quicker than the mail. The whole point is the convieneince of being able to buy what you need when you need it.

How about it DEVs - a comparatively easy to add item that would make a lot of folks happy.....

I think it is now a feasible idea. Due to the crafting process now being a modern day equivelant of an assembly line, there is no profit to be made any more except what the new crafting writs will give. I would not think that the profit amount that can be made now by selling common items would be worth the risk of being banned since we only get fuel cost back if you sell it to the vender and the broker is packed with non rare items that are being just barely over fuel cost.

The only thing people will want to bot now is possible rangers to make arrows if they are/have a woodworker too and the new writs which wont be done in a house anyway.

The in house fuel vending machine time has come. The main reason for not doing it is gone now. I can then access it when in my house making an adept 3 for someone where I can also have my mailbox open to see exactly which one they wanted and hit reply to send it to them when I am done.

A work around is having to store in a broker box but if someone doesnt have a lot of money to stock up then they can't do it.

Also its real annoying to go make an adept 3's for someone while others are waiting for you in kos for agroup and oops, I only have 30 candles so can only make one of the 3 adept 3's. Getting more fuel is a matter of zoning to SQ, QH, WW, TS INSTANCE, can make it here now instead of going always back. What were the 2 CA's they wanted again? I cant remember either. Ok, zone to WW, check mail, find pen and paper, right down names zone back to instance. Group chat, hey, Oakum, we got someone to take your place since you were taking so long. Do you want to disband or want me to kick you?

I like the idea, and since bots already have it easy enough in tradeskill instances, why not? Having to run a few steps to the merchant is hardly much different for a bot than running a few steps to the Gnomish Fuel Vending Device. And I'm also a bit tired of solutions to cheating that involve making it harder for honest players to do things in the game - no loot from grey chests is the big one, since it requires mentoring to get low-level quests.

You also have the option to stock up on fuel, say... weekly and store the stacks in your house vault since that location isn't used for broker sales any longer.

Nope. OP is correct in stating that carpenters use multiple tables. To be precise they use woodworking table, sewing table, workbench, and forge. And that is since LU24 as well as before. They are the only crafter that now uses multiple tables.

Okay, I forgot about the whole vase/sconce/rug thing. They really need to get carpenters unified on one workstation like the rest of the crafters.
