View Full Version : Coercer Changes
Coercer changes:- Empathic Link: Removed restriction from hate decrease so that it can affect fighters as well.-----------Am I the only one this bothers? Coercers have a line of spells that lower the aggro the target gets by a certain percentage, and then also makes it so anyone who casts on the target takes some damage at the same time. So now, there is no reason to have both effects. Before, cast it on the tank who gets nukes most frequently and the people nuking him take damage. Or, cast it on your nuke-happy group-mates so they avoid taking aggro. Now, they might as well remove the damage portion of this since you'll only be casting it on the people who you want to avoid taking aggro and therefore avoid getting nuked.

I think the intent is so that you can cast it on brawlers who are in a dps role, so they don't steal aggro from the tank.Personally I don't find myself using the spell line on the tank for the proc damage. The damage is too small for it to be of real use. It is much more valuable used on nukers so that they have less chance to steal aggro from the tank. The proc does, presumably, fire if the person is hit as part of an AoE, so there is still a chance for it to do damage against a mob.The reactive damage is now just a small bonus to the deaggro, as opposed to what the spell was before, which was just a reactive spell proc.<div></div>

Yes, I totally don't like this. I put this buff on tanks at times so they can keep aggro and cause more damage on whomever is casting on them. Please keep this spell the way it is. <div></div>

<DIV>Oh please please please do that to Troubador Alin's so that it will effect fighters (but ONLY if they are not in Defensive stance, otherwise it's pointless)!!!!!!</DIV>
<DIV>This buff never helped tanks keep aggro, as the damage proc was credited towards the coercer. This change will allow you to put the buff on your aggro hungry Bruiser, and hopefully he can DPS and not pull aggro so easily. If you are concerned about the damage loss from this ability not being able to be on the MT, then just try tossing it around on mobs that do AE's and you will still get some good damage.</DIV>

<div></div>It could be better if coercers had two spell lines:- One with the reverse spell proc, no conc, toggable, like demeanor.- An another with the reduce hate buff, one conc, "group or raid" option. And btw, why dont set the "group or raid" option on "dps buff" line, it could be a good improvement to the support side of the coercer in raid.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Verityn on <span class=date_text>08-23-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:20 AM</span>

That would be cool<BR>
