I got some hard questions here, and yes I'll be logging into Test myself to check it out as well. From the description it seems we assist NPCs in some manner (probably a quest to turn in items) which then funds the ability to gain a broker either in Antonica or Commonlands. At this point, a fence is spawned in Antonica or Commonlands upon meeting the requirements. It can be removed some how (either through death or by meeting some other objectives). 1. What is required to get them to spawn? See my natural thoughts is that getting a Fence is okay, but not that great with a 40% mark up to buy from the other side. If it requires tons of effort to get one of these Fences to spawn, then honestly why not just betray a level 15 character with 10 plat in the bank, buy whatever you need it to buy, then betray it back. My friends and I have done this <b>COUNTLESS </b>times and I'm even in the process of doing it as I type this and sure enough he's boat loaded with tons of Masters that I bought for cheaper over here and am bringing them over for my guildmates, friends, and personal use. That said, will bringing up the fence even be worth the time investment compared to betraying a nub? 2. Where in Antonica/Commonlands will they spawn? I play both sides (Qeynos and Freeport) and I gotta say CL and Ant are some of the MOST active PvP zones around. Levels 15-50 fight in Antonica and Commonlands every day, all day (and night). Considering the 40% markup, do you really expect people to want to go out there with 1, 2, 5, 10, or 20 platnium and drop their cash while trying to buy from a Fence? Do you realize how inherently [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] it is to expect people to leave a safe zone with cash? Hell, I know we personally laugh when we get more than 50 gold off people that we kill...it's a well known fact to <i>"Bank, and Bank Often."</i> 3. How easy are they to take down vs. the effort it takes to get up? If it takes a level 70 two seconds, or even 30 seconds, to kill what's the point? No one is going to stand there and play "guard the NPC" all day long. It's insipid to think that anyone ever would. Now, the above is mostly presumption on what was described. Like I said, I'll get on and test it myself later on down the line. What would definately be cool is you had a representive, or operation, out in Commonlands and Antonica while the Fence was safely away in town. That way if the representive was killed the fence couldn't operate without his supply network in Commonlands or Antonica. I don't know if this is possible, but it'd definately work much more effectively for a viable fence system. It still wouldn't counter #3, but definately would be interesting. Would also go a long way to making the reward worth the time invested for #1.
