<DIV>I've started the betrayal with my lvl 20 ranjah.  Freeport here I come.  <FONT color=#ffffcc>*maybe spoilers below, but I've tried to be vague*</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's easy enough to get yourself exiled.  I've not done the FP->Q start yet, but I'd guess that it's largely the same.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>The start is a lot of zoning, so those with slow connections get to suffer a bit (harkens back to the original citizenship & class quests but with less combat).  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm not a fan of the next part.  I think the story is cute, but the execution is agitating.  An item is placed in your inventory.  It is not self explanatory.  It's not 'useable'.  It's activated by examining it.  This seems rather poorly implemented to me.  At the appropriate time of day, you've got to be in just the right position to use your new toy.  If you are in the wrong place, you get an un-user-friendly message in a chat window.  I got through it, but not without a little frustration at the interface.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There's an entertaining instance with a confusing and rather poorly implemented puzzle.  Again, the items you get need to be examined to use them and you do have to examine them ALOT.  The mobs are all even-con, but the stealth classes get a free-pass.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It looks like getting faction with your destination city will require quite a bit of work.  This is good.  It shouldn't be a walk in the park.  My faction was set to -50k with both Qeynos & Freeport.  I'm not sure how much I need to gain citizenship, but I'm assuming better than indifferent.    It's not one quest, it's a bunch and you have choices.  Probably be 10-20 hours of gameplay to do it, depending on your style.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I do have a concern regarding haven and PVP servers.  The fact that Non-exiles can't pursue someone into haven.  It seems to me that there is going to be a lot of pop-up, gank, jump down to haven.  While fun for the ganker, this will quickly become annoying for the gankee.  While this can happen with the bells, those of the opposite faction know what they're getting into when fighting near the bells.  The Haven zone ins are often in the middle of a zone.  Just something to chew on.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV></DIV>

Being that exiles are enemies to each other as well as Qyenos and FPers. I think having the ablity to zone into the haven without Qyenos/FPers being able to follow is not over powering

I figured the faction with the city would drop to -50,000, but what about the other city factions (the ones that give you writs)? Do you also lose whatever standing you had with them? And do you lose your house?<div></div>

That's not good about the house, though - that's a loss of 300,000 status and 3 platinum, plus I have to find somewhere to store 350 items. I'm not sure if the devs even read these boards, but if they actually listen to the players on Test, tell them to get rid of that change. Let us keep our house, even if getting to it is now difficult with the epic guards wandering around.</div>
