If anyone with a sage could post the rares needed for adept 3's ... curious to see if they'll be the same as Tier 7, when currently Tier 2 uses the gem stone only (for both priest and mage spells). I.E., coral for both Priest and Mage spells, whereas Tier 7 uses gem (moonstone) for Priest, and gem-ore (acrylia) for Mage. And does anyone know if the intention is to standardize all tiers to use the same type ingredient across all tiers (consistency would be nice...)Landru, on Antonia Bayle61 Conjuror61 Sage

T7 is the only tier to have different rares for arch types.

T5 is ruby or Rhod cluster

T6 is Pearl or Van cluster

sorry dont know lower teirs..

Okay here's a question. With no Subs anylonger what does it take to make an Adept3 as a jewler? A ruby, 2 ore 3 roots and fuel? (as an example) or do we still need to make the inks?

Thanks Evaw -- hope they leave it that way for LU24 ... will certainly make life easier.Yes, Owwiee -- subs are going away, no more inks. One-step combine, using all raws plus fuels. No more inter-crafter dependencies.

Message Edited by Morganthall on 05-19-2006 10:38 AM

As it stands on test atm, for tier2 mage, priest, scout = Coral fighters = alkaline loam no-one using silver, but things are far from finalized...

I wish they were more consistent on which rares were required. For Scout Adept 3's, they require rare precious stones (coral, rubies, pearls, etc.) for T2-T6, but then at T7, they require spongy loam??T1 hasn't changed yet from what I could see. Except for the recipes in Artisan 2, all T1 recipes still require subcombines.

Can anyone confirm what the current recipies for higher tiers for various classes are on test? From what I recall, T1 and T2 required the gem for mage/priest, which of course does not match T7, and also does not match the either gem or metal listed by a poster above. I have a lvl 21 sage on test, but was not able to test much with him.

T1 and T2 are still loam for fighter and gem for mage/priest and scout.

I was not able to test T3 as I do not have any advanced T3 books. I could not test non-rare T3 as I did nto have any pre-scribed T3 books, and with the changes to the craftign instances, the class specific essential books have not been added to the basic instance (looks like no place to buy them at all right now). What was interesting, is that I still had apoth recipes for T3 worts.

--
Wikfizbik - 49 Conj / 60 Jeweler Grobb/Everfrost (mostly retired)
Fengrom - 24 Coercer / 67 Sage Grobb/Everfrost (mostly retired)
Wikfizbik - 35 Conj / 29 Jeweler Lucan (current semi-active character)

Message Edited by Wikfizbik on 05-19-2006 07:42 PM

[metal] clusters from gem harvestables will be for jewelry only. Unfortunately, I notice a much greater chance at getting the cluster rare than I do gem rare. For every 4 Silver Cluster, for example, I can find one Rough Coral. I hope they change the chance for drops based on it's overall use, otherwise jewelry will become fairly common because people will work harder to find rare gems and flood the market with the cluster rares.

On test, according to the notes I read, t2-t5 is going to get in line like t1/t7. That means scouts/fighters will be using the loams, mages the soft metal, and priests the gem.

Mage upgrades use rare metal, and fighters still use rare loam. They removed all ink and wort recipes from the non-apothecary books (i.e. Scholar 10, Advanced Scholar 10, Alchemist 20, Advanced Alchemist 20, etc.) If you have a lot of rare metals/gems but don't have the advanced apothecary books needed, I highly suggest getting them made into rare inks somehow. You can also no longer make glowing/sparkling extracts or their higher counterparts since the solvent recipes needed are gone as well. Why would you need them? I have needed them on test, but that may only be because this isn't fully implemented. I would have extracts made just to be safe.As far as harvesting is going, the best I have been able to do is 10 common and 1 rare from a single harvest, not just from the node, but from one harvest. Harvesting is much, much quicker. All fungi nodes are gone. I have a couple of scholars on test. I don't know about tiers above 2 for jewelry but imbued rings have changed as well. You have imbued silver rings of Strength, Agility and Stamina. You also have imbued coral rings of intelligence and wisdom. A Pristine (imbued or not) silver ring of strength or stamina both have +6 Str and +6 Sta, +10 health and +10 power. I don't recall if the buff has changed however.Iron Vanguard Armor (tier 2) gives 67 mit for everything but pants and chest which give 72. Blackened Iron Vanguard Cuirass gives 102 mit and decent strength and stamina. Only problem is there is no graphic attached to any piece of the iron vanguard armor. So if you want to be a plate tank but look like a monk, sign up on test, time is running out.
