View Full Version : Urgent! PVP Suggestion for devs Concerning conjurer/Necro balance

<b>   I strongly belive that the pets should  Keep thier normal dmg for pvp.  Wizards are complaning that we do more dmg.  Thats not fully true.  In instances and grps the battels are long and necros have good sustained dmg.This is a whole diff story in pvp.  Wizards dish out 100 times the dmg of what summoners do.  Since they are built for big number burst dps.  We all know burst is the best for pvp.  I plee of the devs to leave the spells alone for Pvp purpose only.  As much as I dont like the nerf,  I can live with not doing great dps in fights.  Example:  lvl 70  assasin has an attack that does 1200-1900 dmg. I n pvp this spell would decrease some .  This was reduced to 800-1400 dmg.  Now with that happening the spell will take another drop for Pvp andprob end up like 500-1000 dmg.  PLEASE Devs keep the current PVP numbers the same'The devs reduced our pets <mainly Assasin> dps just in skills alone by 1/3 in some cases.  They also took away the 33% dmg mod for auto attack which is actually the pets main dmg and Interrupt .  You may say well I dont do alot off auto attack.The concern is the aasasins auto attack did do alot of dmg.  Our assasin at 40 has better stats and weapons then most at 50 if not higher.    These 2 nerfes added together have recduced the assasins DPS by %50 in some cases give or take.   I hear alot of this " necro/conj do more dmg than wizards"  this is true,  but only in a group situation usually in xp grps. To my main point now.  PVP  Lets face it as fast and tediuos as pvp can be necros arent an easy class to master.    Pretty mmuch any scout  owns me before I even see them sometimes A.k.a Rangers.  Not to mention thier moves are mainly instant cast.  Necro/conj spells have a casting time and are very hard to get off with a scout beating on you much less thier autoattack and that poison going off every 2 sec.   Basically the only thing necros can count on for dps,   is our pets.Im lvl 40 atm and here are my best dps spells.   {Draw life_Master 1_ 565-684 dmg drains life to necro for 304 heal  9s cooldown },   {Breath of the unearthed _Master 1_328-475 dmg_ drainslife to necro for 180 heal},  { witherling affliction _adept  45-71 dmg every 4 sec for 24 sec,}  {Pestiletial blast_44-61 dmg_ every 1 sec for 4 sec}   {And our swarm pets,  which do 60 or so dmg a hit,  times 3 rats,  every 3 sec. {Ghastly stench  Aoe pet does 112 dmg every 3 sec  pet dies very fast in aoe situations.  }   Thats basically all the dmg we have without our pet.  </b><div></div>

No, just no. As a troubadour, necro PETS out damage me completely. I can't count the times when I'm chasing after a necromancer who is idly running away while their assassin pet is going to town with me. The only way I've any chance against a necro is to mez the pet, then mez the necro after the swarm comes out, kill the swarm, then kill the necro (because the swarm does excessive damage too). Throw in an abate life that hits for 1k+ and I find it very hard to believe that you're reliant on your pets (and that's not even mentioning your other spells). <div></div>
