View Full Version : Does SoE think they can include arbitrary non-CC related nerfs without us noticing?

Why make the single Ranged Attack of the Brigand Class take so [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] long to cast that it'll be virtually impossible to use in PvP? What's the purpose of this in PvE, for that matter?Do you think it's strange that I would make a thread to call out one specific change that only affects one class? The point is that SoE believes they can toss in whatever RANDOM, ARBITRARY nerfs they want in this patch that have nothing at all to do with Control spells. In the massive complaining about those, no one will bother to complain about the "small" changes. However, this is not a small change for the Brigand class. This is a huge nerf in PvP. It's our ONLY ranged attack, and it's not like we're damage machines at range anyway. What's the point? So let's hear about the other arbitrary, non CC-related nerfs that other classes are suffering from in this thread.

Message Edited by Grim001 on 05-12-2006 04:40 PM

The way you did it just makes you look like an [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn].But you and SOE should get along, since you both toss in whatever RANDOM, ARBITRARY thing you feel like. In your case, it's completely baseless accusations brought up to create some sort of stir. Again, you just look like a massive [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn].Oh, and it's "SOE". There's no "of" in Sony Online Entertainment. God, that bugs me.

I'm confused, isn't the single ranged attack for brigands also a stun? Thus, it isn't non-Crowd Control.

So how about adressing the nerfs that did go in? In a respectfull manner? Instead of just going wild trying to talk as many players as possible down? Its in the attitude, and its a bad one.

To later find out that the trash mobs have more hitpoints than the named encounters?

All most people have is what they read on the forums. Not everything that makes it in will be in the notes, and some things will change before they go to Test (particularly in the case of the control spell changes). These notes will be posted when data goes to Test, but they will only be current as of today since I will be in Los Angeles for E3 as of tomorrow morning (as will the others who tend to do the notes in my absence). I thought you'd rather see notes that weren't quite current than none at all, so they'll still be posted.

This one snuck in without my knowledge. It was, in fact, a bug that you could move with those racial stealth traits. The change a long while back that made it so stealth did not reduce your speed was a blanket change that unintentionally made these racial traits non-stationary. It has been a while and, though the descriptions haven't changed, they were still not supposed to be giving you movement-allowed stealth. Apologies for not getting that into the update notes. We'll be allowing you to respec your character advancement choices soon because of this change

So what happened, test players? Did you get a chance to check this out, or did it get snuck under your nose?

The same problem with hurricane looks to be happening with this skill as well. Sorry about that and a fix is already on the way
