<DIV>Hey all, If I am currently a Guardian with Guardian only relic armor, and i betray to a berserker, what happens to my GUARDIAN only relic armor? anyone experienced this yet? Thanks.</DIV> <DIV>Threep</DIV>
i would assume u keep it but cant wear it..making it useless, but that is just an assumption so don't take my word for it. remember its SOE they like to screw you

<DIV>If you change classes during betrayal and have a class specific item then it will be moved to your inventory when the class changes. Any items which are still useable by your new class will still be useable of course.</DIV>
currently that seems to be the case. I had a freeport crusader sword when I betrayed and once it was done i could no longer equip it because it was a freeport item (which I thought was stupid and left me without a weapon)

Can you betray to different class if you are a neutral class? (guardian to berserker, warlock to wizard, warden to fury, dirge to troub) ?

It would be pretty dumb to allow a Paladin to still use SK only armor after betraying. That's one of the reason you shouldn't do the betrayal. Personally, I don't see the point of betraying at a higher level anyway if you're gonna lose all your master spells and relic armor. That's just me though.</DIV>

yeah relic armor is sooo hard to get, killing trash mobs really doesnt take much skill im sorry. you can go two group trash mobs. and im glad you have a to pay a high proce to betray. i just hope they dont back down like they used usually ie death penalties.

Sounds fair to me. Why would your armor magically change?

First of all I was setting up a hypothetical question. I do NOT have relic gear, and I am NOT betraying.<div></div>

There may be a few Troubadors betraying to dirge. Sony has gimped the class to the point of having less to lose as a naked 70 dirge than rerolling and leveling up to 70.Not sure about the other classes, but it is a gift for us Troubadors.Moose

I've been anticipating this for several months now. That's why I don't even have the class helm quest in my journal yet, and have not gotten any relic items. If you were plate, then you'll still be able to wear it. But anything that is specifically a class item, like "Guardian", "Shadowknight" etc. is going to be vendor fodder once you betray.<div></div>

I'm really glad I decided to hold off on getting anything class-specific.Phew.<span></span><div></div>

god forbid they make switching your class (stupid idea anyways) have a consequence <div></div>

I fully support the current plan for betrayal. Changing your entire class is a HUGE event and should have consequences. If you are no longer a guardian then your guardian armor has no use to you.....go out and get some zerker armor!

I knew for a long time that once I heard about the new betrayal quests I was gonna change my class. So I started searching for masters of the other class and refrained from getting anything higher than adept III for myself. I always have put the Hooluk hat quest on hold and such. Betraying is a huge deal and there <i>should</i> be penalties to betraying.</div>

<DIV>I can't remember which post I saw that dev response in, but any class-specific armor you're wearing will automaticaly move to your inventory/overflow as soon as you become the other class. SK to Pally, Conj to Necro and Templar to Inq.</DIV> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE>You can already change neutral classes using the current betrayal quest. I experienced it firsthand yesterday. Whereas the current betrayal quest used to end in Commonlands/Antonica with the quest NPC giving you the new gate spell and allowing you to ding past level 17 and access the new city, the Betrayal quest NPC now tells you to see either of the neutral class trainers to choose your class. It is not until you run into town, visit a trainer, have all your spells reset to App1 do you get the new gate spell. You also have to rechoose all the racial abilities, creature mastery and master2 spells. Plus, if you are 101% or more experience into level 17, you have to do something to earn experience to ding into level 18 or 19. When currently betraying at level 17, you can only earn experince up to 207%into level 17. Which is just enough to reach level 19 when you complete the quest.<p>Message Edited by Nubbin on <span class=date_text>05-15-2006</span> <span class=time_text>05:49 PM</span>
