Since some time ago I lost the hope to see interesting LU. I remember at the beggining everyone was like " Wah! lets see what new nice feature they add to the game". It was something people was actually waiting for. Now, Live Updates seems very pitiful. They just fix a couple of bugs that should be fixed with regular updates, or add a "new" raid zone... I am still waiting for the complete KoS content, new textures for armors and the class helms and pauldrons. Is it ethical to release an expansion, and 2 months later havnt released a part of the announced content? Im really disapointed.

KoS is fun Imho, but there should be some improvements on it, like the helms for all classes, new textures and not those horrible ones we have now, and... ¿why are there no Solo instande dungeon? There are a lot of Raid zones already, so give us a fun solo instance for soloers! And work a little with the social content of the game!

All I want, all I want at all is the tradeskill system fixed. I can't imagine how they could leave us on two different methods for crafting for months.

Homeskillet, feeble attempt to derail a potentialy useful thread; useful if it offers thoughful feedback of what content players feel is missing without the usual "I've been nerfed" comments.... ...or the sly attempt to discredit the OP such as yours. I whole heartedly agree that the hybrid state of crafting is crazy... ...I see in crafting chat all the time people who are confused by the different requirments for T1, T2 when compared to the other tiers. Sure people eplain it to them, but it doesn't paint a good picture to the new poeple of this game.. ...and new people coming in are needed to keep our worlds alive and thriving.

Where the heck are the Guild Halls? Where are the new mounts (sans recycled graphics)? Where are the new armors (sans recycled graphics)? Where are the class specific armors (sans recycled graphics)? When is crafting going to be fixed (seriously)?

In the end I decided to Stay. ¿ Does this has anything to do with the quality of the Live Updates? =P

And yes, the crafting system should be normalized asap. There is a lot of work to do for the devs, but they seems to think adding new raid zones are more important :/. A really wrong attitude, imho.

Hopefully this answers all questions about new gear models for ever...

Creative Clothing

There were lots and lots of requests for more street clothes, coloring options on existing clothes, guild cloaks or tabards, etc., etc., etc. and I'm going to lump the whole thing together because it is all part of a larger issue. With the current mechanics for character models and wearable items it is a massively huge issue to add even one single new wearable item, as it actually requires the creation of something insane like 30-some versions of the item in order to get it to work right on all character models. It is just not a happy thing. They are working on redoing the system to make it easier, but until they do, a lot of these requests have to go on the back burner. It doesn't mean some of the lovely ideas won't happen, or that the devs are against it, but that any such plans will have to wait until after they sort out the character model mechanics first, which is still going to take a while. (Sometime in the next year.)

In the meantime, they may consider the possibility of taking some of the existing items and allowing them to be crafted in a couple of colors. That is only a maybe, though.

http://eq2.eqtraders.com/articles/article_page.php?article=g76

iir theres also a eta for craft changes and other fun info..

Message Edited by MrFlob on 04-23-2006 07:13 AM

Nowadays with the live updates, SoE is following the path of Blizzard - one new raid instance every patch, no other remotely noticable content. I mean, come on - nobody used Wailing Caves or Obelisk of Lost Souls before, changing the loot tables of the mobs there means very little. In fact, for the most part from what i've seen, every dungeon below Varsoon is pretty much deserted. I'm not saying adding raid dungeons is a bad thing, KoS is infact lacking in raid content. What I am saying is that there should be some content in the patch that has some ... at least remotely constructive effect on the game. Something other than fixing bugs with npcs and quest that nobody ever gets close to, or nerfing a class for doing what they are supposed to do, adventurer or artisan. I know i'm not the only one who would like to see an actual town zone in KoS, see some kind of mini-game added (/Gem ftw ), see some unique textures below level 67 but not below 10, or basically anything that might promote the social aspect of the game outside of Guild chat or grouping.

But then i am advocating following the path of Blizzard; Ironforge, for all it's lag, strippers and stupidity of public chat, made for an excellent hub zone where everybody gathered, which served as a center for the continent. Perhaps there might be an actual town zone-in hidden in the Hidden Refuge in TT, or Whisperwind island in BS.

(That, and i really want to have a house in the skies, with windows!)

Well, I would think that creating a new zone completely from the ground up would be a bit easier then trying to alter an existing portion of the game and have it work right away....Remember the invis armor bug?

Sometimes things take time, I'm still happy to see the LU, because it usually means that there will be some newer content, and many things will get fixed. Just because it doesn't fill all of your expectations isn't really a good reason to be hatin

WC use to be a great zone to go into, I have had many groups through there and had a lot of fun. Then BB got its make over and WC became a ghost town, BB was dropping fabled loot, master chests and massive more xp so all my darkies were forced to find their way to antonica to hunt with a group the same level. Post upgrade its still not as good as BB but its a start to make it worth hunting in again.Mylin

I personally think, that with the fixes and minor updates, they're also working toworths some bigger goals. At any rate, WC is a more than decent zone, and the zone revamps have been pretty nice as far as what I've heard.
