"- Cleric: Divine Recovery's casting speed benefit has been changed to 50% instead of 100%."Is this just a text change to the AA description or did someone actually modify the benefit? Because I don't think anyone had any problems with the benefit, just misunderstandings of what 100% meant.

Have not noticed if there was any change to the effect, just mostly a text change to what it was really doing. So nope, no nerfing here..nothing to see...move along.

It can't just be a text change. If it was, every AA that affects recast/casting times would be listed there, because they all use the formula that makes 100% cut recast/casting times in HALF.If they say they're changing it from 100% to 50%, you have to plug the new # into the formula they use for casting and recast times: (Cast time / Recast time) / (1 + %reduced)Pre-patch at 100% its (using 4s as an example): 4 / (1 + 1.0) = 2s (the way it works now.Post patch at 50%: 4 / (1 + 0.5) = 2.66sI'd suggest to the person on Test who posted above me to do some more in-depth testing, because this really sounds like a nerf to me, not a 'display bug fix.'

Please somebody check into this. I originally thought the same thing and dismissed Fennir but after investigating I found this is correct. I didn't belive it because I refused to belive there was this silly forumula being used when they used the % sign on the display.

Since there is not a "display only" clause on this, Clerics truly are getting this ability reduced. The question is whether this is intended or a misunderstanding of the forumla being used and reacting to complants it was previously only doing 50%.

For the love of Marr SOE, either remove the % sign since it isn't a real percentage or convert it when you display the value in the UI. The current method is false advertising and only contributes to confusion.

As it is I am going to change my macro to /gsay reducing casting timers by x/(1+.5) or 50% in the SOE new math universe.

Oh great, there we go bringing math into it all *scratches head and gives the pondering emote* From the sounds of things it is possible that there is indeed a drop in the effect of it.

I will do some more indepth checking on this as my first reply was early in the morning before full brain functions have been established.

My findings were based on a quick run with lots of chaos and no REAL time to actually say that it was *thoroughly* checked. My mistake I know...was just trying to humor it up a bit.

From the discussions on the Inquisitor forums and talk on the server. It seems as if they never intended it to be a full 100% effect and changed things to more accurately show proper intentions.

I will ask the QA tonight when I log in to see what I can find out.
