Off Topic: Devs/GM's/CSR's PLEASE DONT MODERATE CHAT DURING DOWNTIMES!

I did not recieve a message (granted I wasnt in the main chat window, and my sound is down). At 10am servers went down for what I assume to be an update. I went into chat to ask my fellow players and well thats impossible cause the rooms are ALL moderated. With ZERO GM/CSR presence.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So I ask you PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF TUNARE, either kill the external chat completely or stop being moderation [Removed for Content] so we can FIND OUT WHATS GOING ON.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>With that said, sorry for posting in the wrong forum. I mean ffs, its a chat room and even if there is only one person there it is moderated. It has been like this for far to long.</DIV>

Sometimes there is no message mate.  Been that way for months.  Chat rooms have also been GM-less and moderated for some time, as I recall.  When in doubt, check <A href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/network_status.vm" target=_blank>http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/network_status.vm</A> to see if there's scheduled downtime.  Granted, that page is not always current.  But it's better than nothing.  Sometimes.

It would seem that SOE has grown tired of people whining about the lack of GMs in the chat channel, and to solve it they're removing the chat channel.
