<div></div>From the dev post yesterday, we still have to get them to admit that there is a bug.  This conj dev named <a href="../view_profile?user.id=242118" target="_blank"><span>Aeralik</span></a> said that he tested it all by himself, but didn't see any problem...  Of course everyone told him that he should do it with a group, have the tank taunt the pet then see what happens...<a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=combat&message.id=97659#M97659" target="_blank">http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=combat&message.id=97659#M97659</a><div></div>

<div></div><p>There are a few bugs I have seen and continue to see with my conjurer.</p><ol><li>I can clearly see the mob I want to attack from first person view, but the mob is either on a slightly different plane (as in higher or lower because they are standing on a step, rock, hill or any number of other things) so I get one of those messages that says I can't send the pet in - even though the mob is very clearly within range (meaning if tap the button and walk any closer and it will agro me) and not a single piece of the mob is obscured to me in first person view. (I thought this was supposed to be fixed.)</li><li>I summon a new pet who is standing RIGHT next to me, again same thing, I can see it clearly - not stuck in geometry or anything like that and yet when I go to buff it, I get text saying I can't see it.</li><li>when I use my Achievement skill that allows me to take over my pet - I get odd characters in front of my name. This is by memory, but I think it was something like {f <petname></li></ol><p>This is something that is sort of a bug but nothing major. If I bring out one of those fun pets like the gorg? or the companion my pet window is mapped over to them which really messes things up if I forget I have them out. As a fix I think the pet windows should contain</p><ol><li>A toggle button to show or hide the window.</li><li>should contain the pets full name so we know which window goes to which pet.</li><li>as I hinted above each pet should open their own window.</li></ol>

While in a group sometimes (read often) the pet cause a bug, people stay locked in combat mode, the taunt affects the pet and everyone stay in combat until the player kill his pet. Fix it please, this is bugged.<div></div>

<div></div><p>Intersting, I group everyday and don't recall this happening, is it a certain class that has taunts doing this?</p><p>I did some searching, but I guess I must have been lucky. It locks me and the healers in combat mode for a few minutes unless all classes kill their pets. It's not just conjurors. Mystic pets and wizards familiars do it also.

Do you tab and taunt? That's what many are thinking is happening.When the tank taunts the pet by mistake.It sounds annoying for those who experience it often.Hope they fix it!

OH true, but other threads I read it was happening when people did TRY to taunt a pet, locked them in combat.

<div></div>Zerkers have a great taunt that aggroes all around the zerker. Not only from a single encounter, but all within a radius of 15m. It is called Insolent Gibe. Each time that CA is used, the pets get taunted as well, and must be killed. The taunt is on a 3 min reuse timer, and is very usefull when adds are pulled. But pets aggro as well <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<div></div><p>this is supposed to be fixed with LU21 - see update notes - insolent gibe (the zerker aoe taunt)</p><p>however,  there are other things that bug combat as well.  currently the paladin's ward, when he casts it on the tank, will bug any party members pets as well.  (how or why that happens who knows) but this is re-producable everytime as well.</p><p> </p><p>-Erick</p>

My templar has been stuck in combat mode whenever grouped with pet classes. It's not only conjurors, either. I have had it happen with necro pets.</font></p><p><font color="#ffccff">Devs, go play the game and quit asking us to do your jobs. Who has the time to take notes on who has cast what pet, and where, to prove our point? If you play the game, you KNOW that there's a bug. It prevents us from regenerating our power--and makes us look angry and silly when we're stuck in combat mode!</font></p><p><font color="#ffccff">Suite</font></p>

<div></div><div></div><p>Is this the same pet encounter bug that i've been experiencing for some time and can reproduce fairly easily - goes like this:</p><ul><li><div>Pet is on <strong>defend </strong>and I run past an encounter to get somewhere. Mob hits me and pet defends as expected.</div></li><li><div>Rather than stand and fight (as I want to get somewhere, I <strong>pull back </strong>pet (taking it off defend me and defend self).</div></li><li><div>Pet comes back to me and when we are far enough away - encounter breaks. BUT:</div></li><li><div>When I put pet <strong>back on defend</strong> - it runs back to the encounter that I just ran from to attack them again...</div></li></ul><p>Amusing in some respects - but definitely an annoying bug. Was grouped with bruiser zerker guard fury and pirate (read - swashy) last night so lord alone knows which AoE if any was to blame. Please do some development on this issue.</p><p>PPS: Pointed out many times on the necro forums - use a buff holder as well as your pet. That could be owl from hat quest, paw mushroom, gazer pet, anything that will hold on to the pet buffs so that when you do have to clear a lock you dont also have to recast all of your buffs. Saves 15 or so secs of buff casting <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
