<div>I have been in Halls of Fate and have lost the rolls for the no drop legendary boots from Sothis twice now. Unfortunately two softies now have plate boots in there bag. Them looting it was obviously an accident. I think anytime you roll on a No drop item, a confirmation window should come up that asks something along the lines of, "This is a no drop item, rolling on it and looting it will bind it to you, are you sure you want to proceed?" Worlds of Warcraft is an excellent model for this type of confirmation. It will defenitely add some playability to the game. </div><div> </div><div>Thank you.</div><div> </div><div>Herak</div><div>Unrest</div><div>70 Paladin</div>
<div>I thought that mechanism was in the game. Maybe, I'm just mixing them up. Yeah that sucks but some guilds raid with full lotto. I works well but is dependant on the players will against phat lewt. I imagine everyone in your group wanted something dropped off Sothis so they react a little too quick. The best thing to do is to say 'watch out for no trades' before you open the chest. But I agree. They should put the popup in if its not since the broker kinda has the dummyproof popup. </div>

There is a "Are you sure" message for solo looting and, from what I have been told, for leader-only looting.EQ1 had a No Drop message when you were in a group looting a No Trade item (called No Drop in EQ1) and none while you were solo. The No Trade item message while soloing was -added- to EQ2 in response to people asking for one in -groups-. I think it's a bug or something with the mechanics that doesn't allow the confirmation if there has been a lotto or if more than one person can loot an item. It's exceptionally stupid. There should NOT be a message about looting a No Trade item when you're soloing. There should be a mesaage about looting a No Trade item -any- time you are in a group (one that should also be toggable to off, though) and no matter if the group is 2 people or 6.<div></div>

But as we all know with every update there is a 99.997 % chance an old bug will reappear and fixes will dissapear.

<div></div>Having lost the roll on Xhaviz's Gown of Glory yesterday to a Necro, who happened to be already wearing said robe, I must say that I wholeheartedly agree with the OP on this one. Prior to this I've seen several accidental melee lootings of Yeddahd's Caduceus by non summoners. Too many players, especially in pickup groups, just accept every lotto figuring that they can hand over most anything that they loot if someone else can use it.I think the vast majority of players would not go so far as to get in on a lotto for a no-trade item they couldn't use simply to deny it from someone who could use it, the system simply makes it too easy for them to win a no-trade item without even thinking about it.Not only do I think there should be a forced confirmation on looting no-trade items in a group, I'd go one step further to propose that any items wearable in only one slot (i.e. except rings/bracers) also get the LORE tag - this would have at least prevented that necro from getting a spare gown for his closet.Irramar Talamantra65 Conjuror - Lucan D'Lere<Clan Deathstalker><div></div><p>Message Edited by Irramar on <span class="date_text">03-13-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:55 PM</span></p>
The same [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] happens a lot when really nice robes drop from named/raids.I've seen countless numbers of [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]head tanks roll and win rare robes that would be great upgrades for the casters there. Why can't they have a popup warning when something being rolled on isn't useable by their class?<div></div>

AND, the No Trade warning should not be there if you are soloing (or there should be an option to shut it off for soloing but keep it for grouping).</span></div>
