My ranger on test is not high enough level to compare the DPS that i know of on live due to level differences, there for I may be making an incorrect argument. My thoughts to adjusting rangers are not that we need to be stronger, or we need to hit harder, but we need our procs back. If you take away the fact that the damage rating effected how much we proc'd (the "bug " that was discovered) and and gave us the ability to proc on each arrow shot as it was before (Triple shot has 3 chances, Quick shot has a chance, Each shot on stream of arrows has a chance, etc.) I think rangers would be "fixed".  I'll admit I have not been playing as much cause i'm Bored with the ranger now but we've got to live with what SoE decides to do.<div></div>

The more i see of these changes the more I think they helped to find some other things that were broken with Ranger abilities that were being masked by the huge amount of proc damage we did.  The coming changes to bow AA damage and the changes to some of our CA's will help and its great that they were identified. The next step in my mind, would be to make sure procs are working correctly and perhaps re-allow them to proc on multihit CA's, but only ONE proc her hit.  Have a proc hierachy like this - QuickShot > Weapon Proc > Poison procOne one hits, you dont check the rest.Regardless the damage reduction was needed, but along the way to fixing procs they discovered that a bunch of Ranger skills werent working as intended.  I think fixing those is a good first step and then we will see how much of a difference it makes.  My personal thoughts is it might not be enough and it will need further tweaking.  I personally want to see us go back to being a primarily Ranged DPS class, but not back to being majorly over powered like we were before.Maybe this will put the fun back.<div></div>

I disagree.I quite enjoy not being based on procs.  I like being able to control my damage, instead of praying I don't get agro.I don't think rangers have anything to ask for except bug fixes, at this point.  We'll see how the fixes play out but they seem to be right on track.<div></div>

Even with the reduction in procs from several of the rangers i have grouped while getting to 70 and parsing the fights they are still on top of the damage parses.  I'm not sure exactly what the rangers where doing with their abilites but it seemed they were using all of their close combat abilites along with jumping back to use their ranged abilites.  I mean instead of seeing a ranger do 1.5kdps regulary on a mob they are doing closer to 700-800 dps (non-raid).   I personaly think thats pretty good really it puts them in line with all of the other primary dps classes with the amount of dps they do.<div></div>

<div></div><div>Since I solo 50% of the time with my ranger, my main concern is how these changes will help me solo.  Its getting real old runing away like a little girl when mobs pop on me.</div>

<div>As a ranger i'm very happy with hitting harder and proccing less.  Sure procs are neat and fun, but rapid procs simultaneously overpower poisons and make them prohibitively expensive.  In the past debuff poisons used to only last a few encounters, and it was way to expensive to use them for anything but major encounters.  Now they will proc most fights but not with every hit so the poison will last for hours.  I only wish that now they would take away our combat arts that fire multiple arrows and replace them with single arrow versions.</div>
