<div>or nerfed depending on how9 ya look at it.  Personally.. as a ranger, resists dont mean too much to me.  So i bought a full set of t7 armor/jewelry.   Now if they are being nerf'ed to have lower stats just to include some resists... i might as well have kept my t6 fabled that i used prior....</div><div> </div><div>so basically.. is soe telling me im out 50p?</div>

<div></div>I compare this to the kajillion of posts saying how bad T7 armor sucked without resists, and I just gotta laugh.

Here's an individual who did buy T7 crafted gear because of the way it was. I wouldn't have but he did. If the forth coming change was only for the better such as adding resists but changing nothing else he would be fine. However, the change also entails a reduction in stats. Stats he apparently paid for and wanted.</p><p>I can very well see how this would be rather irksome to the OP.</p><p>As far as I am concerned, T7 crafted armor was not worth the purchase price before and will still not be worth the purchase price with the change. I also realize that it is a lost cause getting them to make T7 crafted gear a viable option for adventurers. They would not have screwed T7 crafting in so many ways if they had even the slighest intention of making crafted gear viable and that goes for not only the quality issue but the raw acquisition issue and current drops issue as well. They have thrown crafting to the dogs. My problem is not so much that they have done so, but rather the fact that they have the audacity to try and con us into thinking that they really give a hoot any longer about the tradeskill side. They obviously do not.</p>

They don't have a 'chance' to imbue, they're always imbued (with higher stats for whichever you have) with a chance for an added bonus effect that we never got before.Or did you forget to actually LOOK at the stats, and see how it has, say, 20str instead of 10?<div></div>

I might get flamed for this, but I think they're better than they used to be....</p><p> </p><p>Orontes</p><p>Assassin on Unrest</p>

<div>I'm curious how people will react to these changes.  Currently, I sell more Dexterous Dragonhide leather armor (+20 str/agi, resists) than I do Dragonhide (+18 str/agi/sta, +1 crush/pierce/slash/defense, no resists).  The reason people want the Dexterous over regular Dragonhide is the resists.</div><div> </div><div>Now, if regular dragonhide becomes +18 str/agi/sta, +1 defense, resists.... it will clearly beat the Dexterous Dragonhide.   Who wouldn't give up 2 points in str and agi to gain +18 sta and +1 defense?  I believe the resists will be slightly lower than Dexterous, so that may offset it some.</div><div> </div><div>As Dexterous has a completely new look compared to Dragonhide (which looks like T5/T6 rare leather, just tinted a bit), it would be a shame if Dexterous becomes undesireable...</div>

<div>Some of my thoughts (These are my opinions, not particularly facts)...</div><div> </div><div>The problem with T7 crafted Legendary or "Treasured" was that to have a "full set" you also had to have all "Treasured" crafted Jewelry to have the same effects as T6 Crafted Legendary.  In T6 that wasn't happening and folks were getting away with not upgrading their jewelry (Effects Tradeskill economy). </div><div> </div><div>These are the facts...</div><div> </div><div>As for the post about T6 Fabled to T7 "Treasured".  I remember reading a post that talked about the natural progression of armor from a Dev.  They talked about how the natural progression was from T6 Fabled was to T7 Fabled.  There would be no benefit going from T6 Fabled to T7 Treasured like there was going from T5 Fabled to T6 Legendary.  They openly admitted it was a mistake and that T6 Legendary was over powered.  So they fixed the issue with T7.  Is there a huge difference going from Cobalt to Xegonite?  No, in fact mitigation is slightly lower, but stats are higher.</div><div> </div><div>IMO, SOE went the right way and wrong way with T7 armor.  Yes, they added more armor that was more specific for a class.  For example, Xegonite Plate is more suited to Clerics and Crusaders then Vanguard.  Although i think they went the totally wrong way with resists.  Hopefully that will be put back how it was. </div><div> </div><div>I find it interesting that there are combat modifiers in armor as well.  It strikes me that SOE made T7 mobs much tougher to hit and is trying to fix it in the easiest way possible.  Let's face it, it's easier to change the stats on armor instead of over 100 mob types.  Then again, I could be way off.  Who knows what goes on over at SOE.</div>

Once again, if we weren't paying to Beta and these issues were worked out BEFORE expansions went live, people would have less to beotch about.  The fact is you have rare armor made with known stats and have to attune it.  They then change it, and it is no longer what you wanted.  If you had T6 fabled and sold it, man my heart goes out to you.  I am sick and tired of working hard to earn plat, being able to finally buy something and the next day finding out its not what I want or paid for!<div></div>

The combat system is opaque (to me at least) so I don't know whether resists (+x vs. Heat) are more or less important that skills (+x Ordination) or stats (+x Str).If I understood the combat system better, maybe I'd be less upset about losing resists and gaining skills.
