<div>Yesterday my guild was raiding King Zalak , he dropped a master chest with 1 single item, a master spell..</div><div> </div><div>What kind of reward is this ? We were a full raid team and got this ...this is really dissapointing..</div><div> </div><div>There is something wrong with the loot system, if you can get better loot if you run around with a group with 4 people in Solusek Eye for a couple of hours then setting up a raid with 24 people and get awarded with 1 master..I did the new quests on Solusek, after 4 hours we had 2 legendary items and 4 master spells to divide..</div><div> </div><div>Well..what do you say, I'd say something is so very wrong..ok. Im all for some better loot for people who never raids but this is getting stupid..</div><div> </div><div>/Rigge</div>

<div></div><p>Back in the day  Zalak dropped wood and sometimes even nothing.  Be glad that you got a master spell.  If you raid all the time you will get upgrades, but if you go to 1 raid and expect to be instantly fabeled you will be disapointed.</p><p> </p>

My point is that why raid any target that require you to gather 24 persons for 1 master spell or a wood or even nothing when you could go to Solosek Eye and have a few guaranteed masters and a few legendary items...I can see your comment as valid othervise if there wasnt these other drops..</p><p> </p><p>And no..this isnt the first time we raid..this was a raid for new members ..</p><p> </p><p> </p></blockquote>/Rigge

<div></div>Raiding is such a mixed bag.I'm not a heavy raider, but I've definitely been on a couple dozen by now.  I've come across four things I could have used, and lost the /rands on all of them (note: to the other assassins or rangers who could use them just as much -- we definitly loot on need first). It would be nice if something that requires 24 people would give upgrades for, say, five of them every time, but that's not how it is.  The lower-level raids (contested mobs, easy access zones, and so on) are a total crapshoot.  After doing them a half-dozen times you might have enough people in your group with upgrades that you can try a harder target.I do agree that it would be nice if something that took a 24-person coordinated effort gave better rewards than something any six people could do in half the time... but meanwhile, it is what it is.  And there are nice rewards to work up to.<div></div><p>Message Edited by EtoilePB on <span class="date_text">02-17-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:43 PM</span></p>

<div></div>This sounds disappointing.  I came from WoW and everytime you fight a boss in a raid, you are guaranteed some epic or rare loot.

Its hard to get good loot (non trdeskill legendary or fabled) unless you farm Runneye/Varsoon or Sol dungeons. Those are the only to places that you can blaze through content and farm away, knowing that you will get at least some thing.  Every other dungeon is poorly itmeized.  There is a reason why RE/Varsoon are camped 24/7, and Sol is beginning to be the next RE too.If you go on casual pick up raids, dont expect to get any loot.  Chacnes are you wont.  The random number generator never works in anyones favor and those pick up raids are obviously not DKP.The only real way to get the good no-drop stuff is to join a raiding guild and earn your DKP for items. The rest of us have to resort to farming RE/Varsoon and Sol then selling the Masters and buying the lesser quality Fabled items that are tradeable.Other than that, its a Coblat world
