<div></div>Uh, I don't think that strategy will work since they will release LU20 concurrently with KoS. You'll still get LU20 which is the core of lots of changes folks are troubled about.Nice thougt, though.**read before post, brilliant!**<p>Message Edited by TheAndroid on <span class="date_text">02-15-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:22 AM</span></p>

<div></div>You don't get it either. I've been playing EQ/EQ2 for well over 6 years. Things change, that's fine. But by now SoE shouldn't be implementing massive changes in game mechanics. So, if you read my post, you'ld understand I was simply saying I'll hold off on the pre-purchase and that I think the EQ2 development team isn't planning very well.Edit: clarification.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Sulas on <span class="date_text">02-15-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:47 PM</span></p>

<div></div>I think I will wait this time. If they don't do something reasonable with the imbued rings, I will just keep what I have until something else comes along. After all, I bought two rings based on something the devs put in the game and advertised. I would expect my rares back if the rings become unusable to me (two int rings that are nowhere near gamebreaking--lvl 30). We shall see if the devs really have the players best interests at heart...

probably cheaper for them to give us 4 x 10 cent cds than 1 x 50 cent dvd.profit > *<div></div>
<div>Back to the OP... I have a totally different attitude. First, the game isn't going to stop changing. All change will be viewed differently depending on how one is affected. That being said, there's no way around it. </div><div> </div><div>I too get the feeling they lack planning on some things. Shards and rings for instance. I imagine they are flying by the seat of there pants at times instead of looking at a five years plan. I'm sure they have a long term plan but the changes are reactive. There's a constant shift of priorities it seems. I personally don't count on anything being the same in a year and will continue to play as long as I see the game as playable with the classes and profession I choose. As long as Im enjoying the elements, I'll adapt my playstyle to the game mechanics.</div><div> </div><div>Now as far as boycotting an expansion, not tanking for groups or quiting crafting, none of those seem like anymore than threats. Same goes for cancelled subs. Hey, if you don't like the game, don't torture yourself by holding onto it. It's kinda like being in a bad relationship and sticking around because you either don't want to be alone or don't want to date again. Plenty of fish in the sea and every game is different. Played a lot of them... I like EQ2.</div><div> </div><div>Lastly, I buy the expansions for new content. New levels, new quests(Signature?), gear, zones, crafting and what have you. The changes aren't going to stop and most have nothing to do with the new content. Do I think it's going to be solid on release? Hardly, theres going to be constant tweaking and changing. As a player, I see it as a neccesary evil. I want the new content fast and they can fix the gear/quests whatever while I'm leveling. I don't think KoS will be unplayable. </div>
