<div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Please move this If this isn't in the appropriate forum. Since the NDA has been lifted, but there is no centralized KoS discussion venue, I felt here might be the best place.</div><div><hr></div><div> </div><div>Okay, they lowered the amount of pulls off shrubs for T7. Great. Thank god. But....what can you get for four full stacks of T7 provy raws?</div><div> </div><div>2- Soaring Expresso Latte- 5h3m- power regen only</div><div>2- Giggleberry juice- 5h3m- power regen+ int</div><div>2- Sweet Chai Tea- 2h15m- power regen only</div><div>2- Black Eyed Chai- 2h15m- power regen + wis</div><div>20 Squash Beer- 40m- power regen only</div><div> </div><div>This is a huge change. Currently, duration is based on combines, but with the new one-combine system it will be based on the number of raws used. Each Provy combine yields 2 at "pristine" quality.</div><div> </div><div>All I can say is wow. Is using the number of raws the best solution for determining duration? Heck. I would almost rather there be two raw types, food and drink, each use 2 and yield 2 one hour items, that is essentially how it is in Artisan Essentials 2. At least that way the 80 raws would equate to 80 hours, not 42.</div><div> </div><div>Keep in mind these are examples using recipies from KoS.</div><div> </div><p>Edited for squash beer number.</p><p><span class="time_text"></span> </p><p><span class="time_text"></span> </p><p>Message Edited by Kenazeer on <span class="date_text">02-10-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:15 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>Can you break this out a bit further?  Having not yet seen the t7 recipes, this is a bit confusing....</p><p>Thanks!</p>

<div></div><p>There is a KoS forum on the main boards here.</p><p>(not being a forum [Removed for Content], just letting you know there is a consolidated place, but not everyone uses it.)</p>

<div>I understand now, thanks for the clarification.</div><div> </div><div>If I was reading your post correctly, there are now only 4 items you can forage from bushes, instead of 7?  As long as it is easier to get the higher number of raws needed, I don't see a *huge* problem with this change.  Granted, the proposed is more in line I think.</div><div> </div><div>I am uncertain what this will do to price of provisioner raws (and hence end product).  And it will be interesting to see how this rolls down for the other provisioner recipes at lower tiers... if they are not going to reduce the number of raws you can get, getting 15 items for a drink is going to be a pain.  Also, leveling up as a provisioner, there are levels where I would only get 3 new recipes (or another low number).  If recipes are removed, will they be replaced to make sure provisioners have enough variety of things to make?  What of the lower levels, where all the recipes are mostly refines?</div><div> </div><div>For the new stuff (t7), how many provision recipes are there per level?</div><div> </div><div>(( I guess this might be better on the tradeskill forums? ))</div>

Just by virtue of the quantity needed to even START a recipe, and the odds of getting what you need, you will have to hit a minimum of 14 shrubs. That is if the old RNG gets it right and you get a statistically even distribution of raws. This will be a lot of competition for nodes. Chances are you will get enough to last you a week or so. Maybe not a ton of time, but some people dont like to harvest, and someone will have to pick up the slackI wonder if the number and spawn rate of nodes will be adjusted so that the status quo will be maintained as far as availibility of food drink? People get upset now paying what they do for food/drink. If the existing balance is not maintained, I see prices skyrocketing. The question is....will there be enough raws to satisfy need/demand since it takes will take 250%-375% more raws per unit of duration for the higher duration drinks. Perhaps everyone will go the 40 route with their drinks, but this is still a net loss of duration/raw under the current system. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.</span></div><p>Edited for math.<span class="time_text"></span></p><p>Message Edited by Kenazeer on <span class="date_text">02-10-2006</span><span class="time_text">02:53 PM</span></p>
