I was just curious why this ability line would need to be changed? Other than the fact to nerf over all utlity of the troubador. I know the differance at master I is only 9% (Live=49%, test=40%) but that 9% can make a massive differance in groups/raids. A Troubadors dps vs utlity has been fairly balanced since LU13, though it would be nice for requiem of reflection to be looked at because it doesnt work :-p, but thats beside the fact here. A singnificant amount of the troubadors utility is being taken away as test currently stands. If it boils down to a matter of scalling for the next upgrade in KoS, what is going to happen the next it this line becomes upgraded(assuming it will) two expantions from now? Will it be retroactivly nerfed again to match the scalling? If this is the case there is not much point of upgrading this ability. With a significant reduction is the utility of this ability there should be something givien in its place. It could be stated that the AAs will more than make up fro the lost utility of this ability, but that would be an extreamly dangerous presisdance to make. That every time new specail abilitys are added that the current/old ones need to be nerfed to keep the class in line. This basicly leads to a situation where to play a utility class is no longer any joy because your abilities will continue to get nerfed as you progress in the life of the game as new things are added and the utility makes you group/raid menbers to powerfull.Dont get me wrong I love my class, it is one that takes a... special type to play.. its one of the reason its is among the lowest active lvl 60 played classes too, in the same boat as chanters. It is just that over the past few updates the changes made to the troubador class have been mostly negative. Pretty much all changes is the last several updates that I can remeber have been this way except for the change to Requiem of Reflection. Which to be honest, its good that there was a least an attempt to look into this ability but its usefull ness is still none. When given the choise of useing RoR in place of any of my other group/self buffs i almost never would choose RoR.Bah that went off topic, but with the rescent overall nerfs to the troubadors group buffs our utility is sololy being widdeled away with out getting anything back in return. I do understand for the need in Lu13 to make debuffs extreamly more important than buff. But if you look at a class that is buff oriented that greatly hurts them over all.In closing please reconsider this change to Serenade there have been too many times in raids where I know the group members would of died with out this ability and with a reduction of this ability they will high a good deal higher chance to pull agro. This is especialy true against orange mobs where the chance to the tanks taunts to resist are extreamly higher. Or if this change is a must consider giving us something in return.

Message Edited by perano on 02-09-200602:14 PM

Message Edited by perano on 02-09-200602:17 PM

It really does suck they are nerfing this. That flower song as the guild calls it is amazing, with dove song and precision and the proc song we sure bump up a caster grp dps. No doubt about that. I do not aggree with the nerf but I trust SOE is making the right choice. The troubadors are a amazing class if played right, I just hope this gets balanced elsewhere. Being a raiding trouby with a amazing guilld that song is great, even at AD3 we get the occasional peel. Trust in SOE, I think they will make the right choice.
