Hopefully, someone that beta tested KoS knows the answer to this...There is a known bug with the SOGA/Alternate appearances not saving correctly, and it happened to me. I adjusted my hair color and hit submit. When it refreshed, I had the appearance of the default model -- purple hair and mutton chops -- and, of course, the button was gone.I think the bug itself has been fixed as settings save correctly now when making a new character, however, I want to know if the button to "Set SOGA Appearance" will be re-enabled so the people that got hosed by the saving/display bug can fix the problem.<div></div>

Well, the SOGA/Alternate Human models look a lot less [Removed for Content] and the fact that you can actually pick a hairstyle that isn't some variation of balding is a plus...Does anyone happen to have an answer to this question please?<div></div>

<div></div>Yea youre right, theres no reason why he should not bastardize the look of anyones character by replacing it with an inferior, boney, pale, and grossly unproportioned model that runs like something totally wicked is tearing at its butt hole.<div></div>

Your opinion is, well, your opinion Rock, and if you don't like the SOGA/Alternate models, then don't use them. Not really helping me to find an answer to my legitimate concern.Does anyone know if the "Set SOGA Appearance" button will be enabled when KoS goes live?<div></div>

<div></div>Unfortunately it seems you're stuck with it now. The bug with the character appearance changer is that although it displays one thing the settings are set to something else. You need to make completely sure you edit ever slider and option to exactly what you expect them to be just to be sure you get what you're asking for. I hope for everyone's sake they just put the buttons up indefinitely for infinite useage because the way it is now without that "promised" in-game option is just plain ludicrous. Especially with this known bug sailing around.Edit: "d a m n" is a bad word!? Bite me...<div></div><p>Message Edited by Kessia189 on <span class="date_text">02-11-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:14 AM</span></p>

<div></div>Right, and the platdogh haired humans and emaciated elves look much better do they?  The SOGA models are better for nearly every single race in the game in my opinion.  The original art was horrible on half-evles, humans, wood  elves, high elves, and gnomes.  Sadly, the SOGA high elves are still horrible, but at least the others are an improvement.

Rock, please... go troll another thread. I'm actually trying to find an answer here, not listen to what you like.  You made your point, now leave it alone.<div></div>

Hey Red Rock... GO FRAK YOURSELF.  People like having options and don't give a dam what you think about their choices.  YOu made your choice to not use SOGA models and they made their choice to use them.  No one cares what you look like.  You can't even control what you look like without the SOGA models.  If I put my computer on extreme perfromance with no high detail models, you look nothing at all like what you think you look like.So why aren't you campaigning against the different choices we have under options for graphics?  Hrm?  It's the same dammed thing you ignorant [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn].<div></div>

I guess they expect me to jump up and down and demand that everyone upgrade their hardware or something. No, it's not the same thing. Graphics settings are something that will fix themselves over time while hardware improves, at least under the worst conditions the flesh colored blob I call my character is still somewhat recognizable. The SOGA models are a permanent curse upon those unfortunate enough to play around the foolish breeds that use them.</span><div></div>

Anyone still running something that requires extreme performance in 5 years or so probably isnt worth a hoot upstairs anyway, by that time you could build a maching to run on extreme quality with ease for about $400.And if my "whining" bothers you so much then maybe you shouldnt read my posts and don't talk to me. It would be a smart thing to do, or would that be too much of a stretch for you? Haha all I said was that he shouldnt be using the models and everyone started to cry and totally go ballistic. SOGA users sure are an emotional breed. : O</span><div></div>

Actually I don't use the alternate models myself because of two reasons, armor size issues with proportions and the run animation.  Many of the alternate models are superior in hair style choices and the overall appearance of the face.  I detest 90% of the hairstyles on the orginal models.  They're utterly ridiculous looking, completely unrealistic, and make no sense at all for an adventurer. For dark elf females, I choose either the Handmaiden or the Font of Malice.  Sometimes I might use the braid, but because of particle animation issues, it disappears at certain settings and looks odd.  The alternate hairstyles are very much superior to the soe hairstyles.  They're more realistic and much more visually appealing.  I would love if SOE opened up all female hairstyles on all female characters (except trolls, ratonga, and iksar of course) and implemented the alternate hairstyles on the orginal models as well.  I don't see any reason to limit each race to just certain hairstyles.<div></div>

<div></div>I have to agree that some of the normal models have some really gaudy looking styles. I don't know what it is with people wanting to give broads really tall hair wrapped up in a bun, ugh.Anyway this brings me to the number one reason why I hate the SOGA models. Instead of SOE giving our current models the fixes they need, they dumped the half-@ssed models from the Korean game on us in an attempt to satisfy everyone, but all it did was give anime lovers a new way to enjoy their fetish. We'll probably never see the imporvements the real models deserve.<div></div>

New here and have a stupid question... Waht does SOGA stand for?Was searching forum for an answer to the Alternate Model and Alernate Appearance options I am seeing.. Just came back to game today and wanting information on what this all is about. The new models sure look [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] good. Much more realistic and attractive. I had a hard time playing my main as he looks ugly.. I can't enjoy playing with ugly characters, period. The women usually looked okay, well the high elfs that is, but the guys were all just ugh so...Can anyone fill me in? Thanks.<div></div>
