I expected to see a nice long post-update correction patch today and was disappointed. From what I've seen, SOE has allowed the "nerfing the npc pet hp" to carry over to character pet hp. Moreover, the argument about the dumbfire pets was proven disgustingly true for me last night as the spell was vertually useless on the LT raid zone. AE is too big of a hinderance on dumbfire pets, especially with a 45 second recast. I also understand SOE skrewed up on arrows, leaving the auto attack for rangers at |>100 hp at lvl60. I know a tank i our guild gave up trying to damage a mob on a ranged fight when he was only doing 38 damage. (t6 rare bow, t6 arrows) I'm sure there are a ton more mistakes that should have been caught on the test server but for some reason were not. We expect a patch and quickly.

We already know that a number of things that were bugged never made it to live. There's a limited number of players there, and all try very hard to catch every bug they can.

We on test catch a lot of problems, it's just that the dev team don't always have enough time to fix them all. Some bugs will always be caught but not fixed. It has always been this way, and in no way is it the testers fault. The testers work hard to catch everything, and we're pretty good at itOh, and they did update the final LU19 to the live servers before test, so there is no way we could have caught everything

Message Edited by burgeswe on 02-03-200611:35 AM

IMO this is one of the worst updates they've ever done as far as bugs are concerned. Never have I seen this many bugs from one update. There are so many I have seen I can't even begin to count them all let alone try to document them.

Message Edited by infernus006 on 02-03-200612:04 PM

You need to stop and think about the sheer amount of work that goes into a patch like this. Expect some bugs.. that's just the way it is. Testers can't be expected to catch every little bug in the known universe and sometimes bugs spring up on Live that weren't aparent on test.As far as MMO's go, this is one of the best in terms of fixing and keeping things fresh. Sure I'm not happy with everything that happens (such as the sub-combine removal) but I understand the work that the Devs (and testers) put into making this game great.Thank you guys.

I do play on test. I have 2 characters. It would be easier for me if I had a copy of my main on test instead of the two >20s I have now. But given the relative obviousness of the problems, I would have expected a hotfix yesturday on some issues. Instead we've been told to wait till whenever. Ask your rangers if they are happy with >50 damage a hit from auto attacks. These errors are serious and IMO subscribers should not be forced to indure them while SOE develops patches for a patch. At the very least, SOE owes its subscribers an appology.

Yes, some things are great about LU19. But the serious flaws to necros, rangers, sorcerers, and wardens is troubling.

there are what, a few hundred people on test? compared with thousands and thousands on live? How do you expect such a limited number of people find every problem there can be...its just not possible. pretty much 99% of everything that I personally /bugged and that i saw discussed in /ooc and on the forums was all fixed before it was pushed to livemaybe some of you people who continuously moan about live updated would like to come to test and help out :smileyindifferent:

I will restate what I said above. I am on test. It boggles my mind though as to how SOE can upgrade some things and utterly cripple others. I mean where did the arrow nerf come from? There weren't any changes made to anything revolving around arrows and suddenly, poof. Food is the same whay. why did someone even monkey around with it in the first place? And whoever did had no business in that routine because look at what happened.

Anyone that has played this game for any amount of time knows that the players on Test DO report bugs, but SOE doesn't bother to fix all of them before an update goes live!

To the OP, get a clue and stop blaming the testers for a bug making to the live servers! It is in no way their fault SOE doesn't do their job and allow enough time to find and FIX all the bugs that are found! Besides that, if you read armus550's post you will see that there were some changes made in the live patch that were not on TEST! Put your anger and frustration where it belongs, on SOE, and not the people that are trying to make the live servers a smooth place to play.

After all, it isn't like this is the first update that has had problems now is it?

Message Edited by a6eaq on 02-04-200608:45 AM
