Unable to select self in 3rd person on test server

<div>Something has changed causing me to no longer select myself in 3rd person mode.  The setting for this under options is greyed out and I'm unable to put a check back in.  I checked on the live server and while I'm able to select myself in 3rd person mode there the option is still greyed out but at least it's greyed out with the check still in the box.  Anyone else having this problem and what has changed from live to test to cause this?</div>
