<div>Last night I was playing on Test and saw people advertising adept 1's. Lowest one I saw was level 4. Highest was level 9.</div><div> </div><div>So are these adepts being dropped from mobs on the islands/cities or are they just getting them from there higher level toons and selling them on the island?</div><div> </div><div>Junk?</div>

<div></div><p>My thought too, but then I saw a level 4 adept 1 and to be honest i don't think I have ever looked for a level 4 adept. I usually blow by those levels so fast that I never bother to upgrade. I guess there is adepts at those levels just never tried to get them. Also since you can stay on the island until level 10 I figured they may put mobs droping adepts since I have upgraded skills/spells at around 6+.</p><p>I hope the answer is yes that mobs are dropping adepts on the island. :smileywink:</p><p> </p><p>Junk</p>

I received 3 Adept 1's and a Master 1 last night. The Master was for a evil class (SK) and I am on the newbie isle so I sold it to the vendor. The adepts, two were for good/neutral classes so I gave them away. The third one was for an evil class and so I also sold that to the vendor.</p><p>Looks like the newbies will be able to outfit themselves when this releases to live. About time that adepts and masters dropped for the lower end of the level spectrum.</p><p>Good job SOE.....I can't beleive I just said that!!!</p>

<div></div>I doubt the current Adept/Master drops are working as intended and will soon be squashed by the Dev team.

Seem to be a good idea to me. The masters however I think should go personally.</p><p> </p><p>Junk</p>

<div>Why make master level skills go away for lower level characters? I think it should be very rare to get one, but why take it away, if you can get it at higher levels why not lower levels, you will outgrow the skill before too long as it is.</div>

<div></div><p>It's not unbalancing to have adpets and masters drop on the newbie island for low level skills. Most will level past their usefullness in a few days time anyway. Also there's legendary jewelry dropping off non-named mobs on teh island. I found a 'lost travelers necklace' (+6 agi) and a 'lost travelers bracelet' (+6 wis) off non-named (a toxic crawler and either a morak or sapswill zombie). I'd heard that there's other 'lost travelers' items that give sta, str, int as well. Probably one is a ring, an earring, and a belt as those would fill the 'accessory' slots that currently don't have quest rewards on the islands for the main quest lines (well Qeynos as a ring, but you get two ring slots so it still helps flesh out your equipment).</p><p>I also found about 5 adept1s but no masters heh, but I really didn't fight many nameds.</p>

<div>The master drops are a good thing. I think if anything, fabled and legendary gear should drop frequently.</div><div>It's not imbalancing as like many have stated.... you are going to be changing your gear frequently anyway</div><div>maybe a few items to get you into your 20's when you start to slow down in levels.</div><div> </div><div> </div>
<div></div>Honestly my first thought when I see this is that island farming will begin once more. It was a steady income for some players back when the game began, and I could see it happening again. I hope this was unintentional....

<div>It's not a bad thing at all in my opinion. I don't think you'll see vast amounts of people rolling new characters to farm the isle because no matter how many adepts or masters drop, you can only sell them for a very moderate amount due to the speed of levelling.</div><div> </div><div>In contrast however, to a newer player particularly, the increased drop rate means they're sure to see items that they can upgrade with frequently which in turn will hold their interest in the game a little better. As it was prior to the revamp, the only sure way to get upgrades was to quest and even then many quests were quite dissappointing. Most of the new drops I've seen are quite nice for that level range.</div><div> </div><div>It's all part of that instant gratification feeling that the early parts of EQ2 really needed more of. Having upgrades drop from mobs more often means the play-thru doesn't automatically feel exactly the same again with each new character.</div>

<div></div><p>Farming the island is unrealistic ..... Spell/skill upgrades just come to fast to warrant wasting time farming on the island.</p><p>I got 8 adepts today off island from helping various people with mobs and 2 master1 drops various items in between and gave them all away or ask if anyone needs them anytime i log in. Got a Brigand master and a Dirge master and all the Skills spells range from lvl 2-9.</p>
