<div></div><div></div><div>these are from the patcher</div><div> </div><div><span class="headline">Update Notes: January 26th , 2006<i> 01/26/2006 12:30 pm PST</i></span>*** New Character Progression ***- Many changes, fixes, and polish have been made to the tutorialislands, cities, and adventure yards.- There are now new race portraits at character creation.- All upgradeable Combat Arts and Spells below level 10 are nowavailable from the scribe shop in your district/village.- Players who are currently Betraying their cities should seek out theirclass trainer in their new city when they have finished in order to gaincitizenship.- There are now spell and combat art merchants on both starting islands.- The coming of sunlight will no longer KS you in the Freeport AdventureYards.- Some of the island trainers now provide more thorough descriptions.- Alas, the denizens of Norrath have become a bit less flirtatious whengreeting players.- The Antonia Bayle and Lucan D'Lere statues on the islands will nowspeak.Combat:- NPCs should no longer go stealth or invisible while they are incombat.- Set level 1 base damage table to 2 points of damage instead of 1.- Added missing Brigand (2) Back Attack and Swashbuckler (2) SpineAttack.- Added "Stance:" in front of all combat arts that are consideredstances. They used to be missing for Assassin, Ranger, Brigand, andSwashbuckler arts.- Defilers shouldn't spend as much health as they used to for low levelheals.- Damage and heal over time spells should do at least 1 point ofdamage/healing per tick.</div><div>*** Dungeon Exploration ***- More appearances have been added for items within Solusek's Eye.*** Desert of Flames ***- Tensions between the Ashen Order and the Ashen Disciples seem to begrowing. The two orders have become more distinct in their appearance,philosophy, and combat techniques.- The Djinn Master has mysteriously changed the way he works. He hasgrounded himself instead of insisting on hovering and the instrumentswithin are no easier to play. Other changes to the way he must be foughtare known only to the Djinn Master himself.*** Gameplay ***- Frogloks have recovered their aqua vision.- Erudites have recovered their aura sense.- Jumping now cancels crouching and sitting.- Characters with Arena Champions statistics should no longer crashzones.*** Items ***</div><div>- Throwing weapons can now reside within any type of ammo pouch.- Ammo bags in your base inventory will now accept ranged ammunitionbefore other inventory bags.*** Quests ***- Commissioner Dogweed will now ask adventurers to slay Stone Hiveguardians instead of bixies.- Heritage quests have had their status awards modified to be based onthe level of the heritage quest only.*** Zones and Population ***- Quest givers will no longer hail players with VO repeatedly. Hellohello hello.- Most creatures are no longer immune to certain damage types. Manywill have retained high resistance to particular forms of damage butshould no longer be completely immune.*** Combat ***- Any creature that would aggro a player when solo will aggro thatplayer regardless of the level of group members. Creatures that wouldnot aggro a player when solo will not aggro that player regardless ofthe level of group members.- There is no longer a base NPC in-combat regen. This was causing issuesa low levels yet was insignificant for low levels, so it was removed.Note that spell-based NPC regens will still function normally.- Charm spells will no longer be broken if the caster loses a duel.*** User Interface ***General:- The default performance profile now varies according to the hardwareon which the client is running. New installs will use this defaultperformance profile.- The Load UI settings window is now resizeable.- "SOGA Models" are now referred to as "Alternate Models," as playerswho weren't around for the launch of these models don't know what "SOGA"is.- New characters with pets will now get an automatically created pethotbar when casting a new pet.- ESC will cancel spell casts for new characters. Existing characterscan map a key to the option in their Options (Controls -> Spell Keys ->Cancel Casting).- The chat window will no longer fade out so quickly on incoming text.- UI enthusiasts, you now have a few more chat window related optionsthat can be defined in eq2.ini. The defaults are listed next to eachitem:* chat_force_mouseover_opacity_min_secs 20.0* chat_force_mouseover_opacity_per_char_secs 0.1* chat_force_mouseover_opacity_max_secs 30.0* chat_force_mouseover_opacity_secs_onscroll 10.0Information:- Pet names will now display the name of your pet with a purpose tagbelow (rather than all on one line).- Combat chat text will no longer include {f} before pet names when apet parries.- Examine descriptions for Character Traits and Racial Traditions willno longer include duration, casting time, recovery time, recast time,class, or weight.- Durations in racial tradition descriptions will now be displayed in aneasier-to-read format.- The class display on item tooltips, examine windows, and brokertooltips has been condensed so it takes up less vertical space. Thelevel indicator has also been separated out to its own line.- Players will now receive item discovery notification even if theyaren't guilded.- The broker window buy/stack quantity is now more like the merchantwindow for consistency.- Hunger and thirst messages will no longer repeat every time you zoneor log in. They will only display once every 30 minutes.- A message will now display during character creation letting you knowif your name is currently invalid and why.Quests:- Coin rewards for quests will now be reported in chat.- Quest con colors have been adjusted to mirror the NPC con system.Quest experience has not be affected.- A quest's name and completion text will now display in its rewardwindow.</div><div>***Mouse Behavior Modification (No mice were hurt during this process):- The middle mouse button now defaults to auto-run.- When mouse-click selection mode is set to "Single Click ExceptAttack", right-clicking a targetable object will target that object inaddition to displaying its right-click menu.- When mouse-click selection mode is set to "Single Click ExceptAttack", double-clicking on nothing now clears the target.- In single-click-except-attack and single-click mouse mode,double-clicking something will no longer execute the default actiontwice.- In single-click and single-click except attack mode, the "Too faraway" message will not be displayed if the target is well out of range.***Waypoint Wisps:- Wisps will now update more frequently.- You do not have to get as far away from a waypoint wisp for it tore-path to your destination.- In cases in which the wisp could not find its way to the destinationand would go through walls or the ground, there is now chat text thatprovides a compass direction to navigate with.*** UI Files Updated ***eq2ui_mainhud_skills.xmleq2ui_newcharscene.xml- The EverQuest II Team </div><p>Message Edited by HaCkHaCkER on <span class="date_text">01-26-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:37 AM</span></p>
